A single beam of sunlight pierces the narrow canyon, cascading through sculpted sandstone like a fleeting waterfall of light. The surrounding walls, carved by centuries of wind and water, glow with deep amber tones, framing a moment where darkness yields to illumination.
This photograph was taken between the cities of Es-Semara and Laayoune, in the heart of the Moroccan desert, during sunset. It captures the silhouette of a camel standing against the horizon a symbol of calm, strength, and resilience in the vastness of the desert.
At the center of motion, there is always a still point. Beneath the vast ceiling, where lines converge and dissolve, a quiet glow emerges — warm, almost human. It feels less like architecture and more like a pulse, something alive within steel and glass. People pass through it without noticing, reflected only as shadows in a mirrored surface, while the space holds their presence for a fleeting second longer. Here, the city reveals its hidden nature — not a machine, but a living memory of light, constantly beating, constantly becoming.
Мост соединяет берега и направления, пропуская поток машин через тёплый вечерний свет. Город остаётся на фоне, а движение — в центре кадра: спокойное, непрерывное и живое.
A mature wild alligator rises into frame with the stillness of a living sculpture. Photographed from an ultra-low, immersive angle, the scene reveals the quiet strength and sheer scale of a giant bull gator as he surfaces among the reflections of the cypress forest.
Wind, Light and Journey

Tourists in traditional attire walk quietly through the night, framed by the timeless silhouette of Kyoto’s iconic pagoda. In this moment, past and present meet without conflict — only a shared sense of place, carried gently through light and memory.
Taken on a damp, rocky trail, this image uses the natural framing of the deep green canopy to accentuate the light-filled fog beyond. It is a portrait of connection: a small child, a guiding adult, and a challenging, beautiful path. The contrast between the dark foreground and the bright, misty background creates a powerful sense of both mystery and hope.
Before Chinese New Year, migrants nationwide journey home by train. This photo, taken late at a foggy station, shows a man hauling luggage, seeking his train. Like him, millions embark on this annual exodus. Each suitcase holds longing; each ticket bridges wanderers to roots. Through mist and winter chill, these treks embody cultural homecoming under hazy station lights.
A fleeting choreography unfolds beneath the city’s surface, where shadows replace bodies and movement becomes abstraction. Figures intersect like improvised notes, their rhythms unscripted yet harmoniously aligned. The rigid geometry of the urban structure contrasts with the fluidity of human presence, creating a visual tension between order and spontaneity.
This image captures a moment where the everyday transforms into performance — a silent composition of light, motion, and coincidence. Like jazz, it exists only for an instant, then dissolves, leaving behind the echo of something both accidental and inevitable.

Guided by the geometry of the structure, a lone figure follows an implied direction.
At the edge, however, a quiet alternative remains — present, yet unnoticed.

I took this photo at Messestadt station, in Munich, Germany.
I was fascinated by the architecture of this place.
To me, the geometry looks like a giant mouth or even an eye , watching us.
I spent a long time there, waiting.
I wasn’t looking for a specific person.
I wanted to capture the exact moment when someone passes between those two lights, which are like two observing eyes. Luckily, an old Lady with a lit cigarette completed my idea.
The figure is still in shadow, just a silhouette.
And I like the contrast between the massive concrete structure and this small and fragile human presence.
For me, it’s about being inside something much bigger than yourself.
Four levels of a cascade.
The first is empty.
The second holds three silhouettes.
The third - two.
The last - just one...
As in life: we are born, we meet others, we find someone to settle with
and we leave this world alone - just as one man walks out of the frame...
And then one out
– The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list by country and city shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
– Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
– Only one strongest photo from each author is counted in the Best Photos ranking. Even if a photographer has several published works, only the highest-rated one is used to calculate their ranking position. As a result, the order of photos in the list may not match the author's final ranking position.
