Winters in Van are very harsh. The villagers who raise livestock bear the brunt of the difficulties, as their journeys are arduous. The distance from the animal barn to the water source for irrigation is quite long. There is snow on the ground, the air is freezing, and the road is long.
A rhythmic play of light and geometry where the boundaries between the physical and the ephemeral blur. As figures climb toward the unknown, their shadows weave a silent narrative of urban solitude and the collective journey of the modern soul
Amid the urban chaos, a single white car sits quietly at the heart of the intersection—illuminated and alone, surrounded by the relentless movement of the city. Its solitude is striking, a brief moment of stillness in the centre of endless motion.
Lions are always wary when drinking. But especially so while drinking since their heads are down. Their fear of crocodiles in so deeply inbred that they prefer to drink from shallow puddles which cannot house crocodiles
A lonely figure against thousands of empty seats, much like life itself.
People come and go along the way, bustling and hustling.
But in the end, they are no more than these vacant seats—leaving only traces before hurrying off.
When all is said and done, the only one who stays is yourself.
The thunderous sound of hooves and the vibration of the ground are still fresh in my memory. At that critical moment when the sun hit from behind, I saw how the rising dust cloud merged perfectly with the silhouettes of the horses. I wanted to leave the details in the dark and capture only the beam of light emphasizing power and movement. Looking through the viewfinder, all I felt was awe in the face of nature\'s untamable energy.
A colony of hydroids, relatives of jellyfish and corals, quietly feeding in the dark.
Each individual is only a few millimeters in size, yet with their fine radiating tentacles, they look like tiny lanterns suspended in the water—delicate lights in an otherwise endless night.
The Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge shines in the last light of day, captured by drone as the sun sinks behind Istanbul’s horizon. A portrait of connection, motion, and timeless beauty.
\\\"In the heart of an ancient stone building, two stray cats find sanctuary behind rusted iron bars. This frame captures a silent dialogue between the weathered textures of the past and the sharp, observant gaze of street life. The contrast between the cold stone and the sudden pop of an orange glass pane tells a story of survival and stillness in an ever-changing urban landscape.\\\"
Leap Through Tradition
Captured during the vibrant Kakava Festival in Edirne, this black-and-white photograph freezes a powerful moment where tradition, courage, and communal spirit merge into a single act. In the heart of this annual celebration of Romani culture, a man leaps through a wall of fire an echo of ancient rituals symbolizing renewal, purification, and connection to ancestral roots.
Suspended mid-air, his form is both tense and graceful, silhouetted by flames that light up the night and the watching faces. The crowd encircles him, transfixed drawn not just by the spectacle, but by the meaning behind it. Their eyes reflect reverence, pride, and memory. Beneath the leaper, sparks and shadows stir like forgotten stories awakened once more.
This is not merely a display of physical daring it is a ritual passage. A tribute to identity, to history, and to the spirit that binds generations together.
In an age defined by speed and change, Kakava stands as a reminder: some traditions still burn bright, fueled by heritage, unity, and the enduring power of belief.
Our model, who stands out with his modern attire, has a very impressive posture and bearded look. His hat, scarf, and green coat create a beautiful harmony and are enhanced by the lighting.
The cockroach is a member of the Blennioidei suborder of the Perciformes order, belonging to the Blenniidae family. It lives in all our seas, is not a food source, and is a member of the goby fish family. I took the attached photo in the Sea of Marmara in July.
Bir kapı eşiğinde iki kalp… Biri yılların sessiz tanığı, diğeri o yılların izinde büyüyen bir parça. Sevginin en saf hâli, ellerin birbirine değdiği bu anda saklı.
In this frame, I imagine a Europe where conflicts end and unity becomes lived reality. The image serves as a metaphor for reconciliation, inviting viewers to see Europe not as a space of division and power, but as a shared horizon shaped by solidarity, peace, and the fragile hope of togetherness.
– The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list by country and city shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
– Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
– Only one strongest photo from each author is counted in the Best Photos ranking. Even if a photographer has several published works, only the highest-rated one is used to calculate their ranking position. As a result, the order of photos in the list may not match the author's final ranking position.
