A Dialogue of Trust and Unity
In the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, Paina reveals herself only to those who know how to wait.
She doesn’t come to you - one day you simply find yourself on her trail.
Between her attentive gaze and my held breath, a moment of trust appeared,
as fragile as the crunch of snow beneath a horse’s hoof.
To press the shutter at that single, fleeting moment
took me more than ten years of experience.
I learned to see, to listen,
and to feel the fractions of a second in which harmony appears.
This photograph is the trace of Paina’s trust,
and the trace of my path toward her.

“I Am the Landscape” is a visual meditation on identity, globalization, and environmental loss. Through the recurring silhouette of a solitary figure — a contemporary nomad — I explore how the human soul absorbs and reflects the world around it.
In each frame, the Himalayas appear — at first eternal and snow-covered, then slowly consumed by fire and smoke. This isn’t a metaphor: the mountains are burning, quietly, unnoticed. Below, tangled power lines weave across the body, symbolizing the reach and cost of global connectivity.
The silhouette, rendered through double exposure, becomes a vessel for place, memory, trauma, and change. It’s not just one person — it’s a collective soul, shaped by fading landscapes and shared histories.
This project is a quiet warning. It speaks of disappearance — of environments, of cultures, of parts of ourselves. Yet it also holds space for reflection.
In a world moving fast, this work asks us to pause, to witness, and to remember.
Дети в Камбодже частенько промышляют на лотосовых полях. Дело в том, что семена лотоса съедобные, на вкус напоминают орехи. Собирать их довольно сложно, так как растения живут в воде. Корень лотоса может вырастать до полутора метров и распространяться до трех метров под водой. Поэтому собирать семена - занятие довольно сложное, но, по всей видимости, весьма увлекательное.
На тёмном фоне изображена женщина в чёрном костюме с белой рубашкой и галстуком, что создаёт образ, отсылающий к эстетике сюрреализма и модернистской живописи (в духе Рене Магритта).
Три белых яйца, выложенные перед ней, выступают как символы абсурда и хрупкости, усиливая напряжение.
– Рейтинг фотографов по странам и городам строится на основе 3-х лучших фотографий автора и их относительной позиции в каждой отдельной номинации. Рейтинг в номинации "Мобильная фотография" учитывается в меньшей степени для формирования рейтинга. В списке по странам и городам показывается одна фотография автора с лучшим рейтингом.
– В списке опубликованы только работы которые прошли 2-й этап голосования.
– В рейтинге лучших фотографий учитывается только одна — самая сильная — работа от каждого автора. Даже если у фотографа опубликовано несколько работ, в расчёте позиции используется только одна, с наивысшим рейтингом. Поэтому порядок фотографий в списке может не совпадать с итоговым положением автора в рейтинге.
– The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list by country and city shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
– Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
– Only one strongest photo from each author is counted in the Best Photos ranking. Even if a photographer has several published works, only the highest-rated one is used to calculate their ranking position. As a result, the order of photos in the list may not match the author's final ranking position.
