Janusz Russek has been using the stage name Mr.Chap for many years. In 2024-25,he will be engaged by the largest Czech circus, Humberto. The photographs capture the clown in a way that the audience cannot see him. Preparations behind the scenes, life in his small caravan, the joys and worries of everyday life, when there is often no smile on his face. In the circus, the audience must not know that he is suffering from, for example, health, separation from family and many other everyday problems. From the oak groves of my favorite region - the Central Bohemian Uplands ... here in ancient times, the Celts, who lived in deep connection with nature, considered trees to be sacred beings endowed with souls. The most important was the oak, which represented a connection with the highest gods. It was thus the center of the world - the axis mundi.
This series of mirror self-portraits explores the duality of my role as both observer and creator. By placing myself in the frame, I document not only the act of photographing, but also my identity as a photographer.

The model is dressed in an outfit from the workshop of the famous designer Ludek Hanak, the photo was taken in the Desert, my model is not only a model but also a professional dancer, the goal is to show that in clothes from the designer you can have a good time anywhere.
This photo cannot be compared to other photos of a fellow photographer, there is a minimum of retouching on purpose and it is slightly blurry. I purposefully removed pixels and multiplied the size, if your AI will compare, sand, doubt of material, hair and face color then it is irrelevant and misleading. This photo is original and unique.
