This photo was taken at Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary, Maharashtra, during an early morning session while I was waiting for the kestrel to take flight. With my frame pre-set, I anticipated a clean flight shot. Instead, an unexpected moment unfolded when another bird suddenly flew in from behind, leading to a brief mid-air tussle with wings fully spread and talons extended.
The encounter lasted only seconds, but instinct and preparation allowed me to capture its intensity and symmetry. It is a reminder that wildlife photography rewards patience, awareness, and sometimes, a little luck.
Technical: Canon R5, RF 200–800mm at 570mm, f/8, 1/2000s, ISO 1000.
The sun spilled its first gold across the wetland, and these wood sandpipers turned it into a stage—wings catching fire, feathers trembling with purpose. For a breath, the marsh belonged to their ancient argument, a fleeting war painted in amber and shadow.
Some battles are fought not for territory, but for the sheer poetry of being alive.

Life on the coastal cliffs is a constant cycle of provision. Here, a puffin stands momentarily still, showcasing a beak full of small forage fish intended for its burrow-bound chick

This is the Orange Morph Malabar Pit Viper, a stunning variant found in the lush rainforests of the Western Ghats, India.
Known for their vibrant colors, these vipers use heat-sensing pits to detect warm-blooded prey in the darkness of night, making them skilled nocturnal hunters. Despite their venomous bite, they are typically shy and prefer to avoid confrontation. A true marvel of nature!

Mount Api Himal is a 7,132-meter Himalayan peak in Western Nepal but not the members of 8k meters 14 peaks, still famous for its dramatic rise, remote location, and challenging mountaineering routes. This peak is clearly visible from Vyas valley of Dharchulla of Uttarakhand, India. And it\\\'s told if Api Himal is clear then Mt. Adikailash also be clear that day.
In Iceland\'s highlands, meltwater splits and comes together again as it flows across the volcanic plain. These braided rivers shift every year, while the mountain stands unchanged, highlighting the contrast between a landscape in motion and one at rest.
Caption: Snail in the Symphony
Background Story:
It was post monsoon in Goa, and still raining. A bracket fungus releases a cloud of colorful spores, glowing in the torchlight as they drift into the damp air. There were fresh water Snails everywhere in the forest. One of the Snails crawl slowly across the mushroom’s surface. Its unhurried movement against the backdrop of swirling spores feels like a dreamscape—nature’s own theatre, where even the smallest creature becomes part of a silent symphony on the forest floor.

In nature, moments of perfect symmetry are rare, but when they do occur, they leave behind something almost magical. This black and white capture freezes a fleeting moment where two zebras, in a quiet gesture of affection or camaraderie, align their heads so closely that they appear as one — a surreal illusion of a two-headed zebra.
The monochrome palette strips away distraction and draws attention to the raw texture of their striped coats, the subtle tension in their necks, and the soft contrast between strength and grace. What might at first seem like a trick of the eye reveals the quiet bond of the animal world — instinctive, wordless, yet deeply connected.
This frame celebrates not just the visual poetry of nature, but the power of perspective in photography — how a single moment, captured right, can make us look twice.
– The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list by country and city shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
– Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
– Only one strongest photo from each author is counted in the Best Photos ranking. Even if a photographer has several published works, only the highest-rated one is used to calculate their ranking position. As a result, the order of photos in the list may not match the author's final ranking position.
