Captured from a rising drone perspective, this photograph reveals the breathtaking symmetry and spiritual intensity of the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, Varanasi,Uttar Pradesh , India. The glowing circles of fire, drifting incense, and gathered devotees form a living tapestry of light and devotion along the ancient riverfront. From above, the scene transforms into a mesmerizing pattern—where ritual, culture, and the timeless flow of the Ganga meet in one luminous moment.
On a stark Arctic shoreline, two polar bears converge over a fallen seal — a prize wrested from a vanishing world. The sequence traces the silent negotiation of dominance: approach, assessment, confrontation, and reluctant coexistence. In monochrome, texture replaces color — fur against stone, muscle against tide, life against death. What unfolds is not spectacle but necessity. In the Arctic, survival is inherited through strength, timing, and resolve. The ice offers no guarantees; it only tests those who remain.
A Black-headed Ibis stands poised in the misty dawn light of Mangalajodi wetlands in Orissa, India, with its long curved bill firmly gripping a dark water snake. The snake coils tightly in a sinuous loop, dangling below the bird’s head.
Captured in soft golden-hour glow, this frame celebrates the raw precision of wetland predation — predator and prey locked in perfect, momentary balance.
A calm herd of elephants makes its way across the plains, beneath heavy skies and distant rain—nature painting a scene of quiet strength and timeless beauty.
This photograph is taken at Amboseli National Park,Kenya.
The elephant is a majestic animal on the earth.
At Amboseli it is very easy to watch, observe and photograph elephants from very close distance. The behaviour of elephants sometime amuses us. Here at Amboseli more than 50 mtrs away I saw elephant mating is going on. Quickly I took some photographs. When our vehicle approached them we noticed that both were male elephants. It was a very funny incident. This is the photograph of that incident.
I was walking on the beach in Mumbai and I happen to see this small boy who I am sure was from a very poor background and also had reddish scales like skin on her body as if some sort of skin disease. Yet, in his misery he was celebrating by with unshakeable joy as the water flew over him. Teaches me to be joyful even at the time of adversity. We crib over every petty things, this boy taught me to celebrate life in whatever we have and to be content
A masterwork of evolution, the male Pop’s pit viper sits like a living emerald. A delicate chain of crimson and ivory links weaves down its flanks.
Above the heat-sensing pits, its striking red eyes hold a cold, unwavering intensity.
Two people move through the same space, yet never meet. One walks above, steady and visible; the other moves below, enclosed by earth and dust. They are connected by the work they share, but separated by position and perspective. The image speaks quietly of human effort—how lives run parallel, how labor binds people together while keeping them apart.
This is a little postcard from a moment in Thailand where the world just felt right. I took a breath, held the scene in my mind, and snapped it with the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. When I got home, I used my own Lr presets—developed over time—to make sure the colors you see here match the memory I carry. It\\\'s not just a photo; it’s the warmth of that day, preserved. Hope it brings a moment of peace to your feed, too.
An AI cinematic rural scene captures a young girl walking confidently along a sunlit village path. She wears earthy-toned traditional attire with layered drapes and simple jewellery, her long hair flowing naturally as she strides forward with quiet determination. In one hand, she holds a leash attached to a small dog walking steadily beside her.
Behind her, a large buffalo follows along the dusty road, adding depth and authenticity to the pastoral setting. The background is softly blurred, revealing hints of village homes, trees, and distant figures bathed in warm golden light. The composition emphasises movement, resilience, and harmony with rural life, creating a powerful narrative of strength, simplicity, and connection to nature.
A quiet moment inside a Chinese temple: a mother bows in prayer while her toddler watches the world with wide, curious eyes. Light from the high window cuts through the shadows, holding together devotion, innocence, and the everyday poetry of family.
A Fatal Embrace — A vine snake strikes with precision, seizing a lizard in a fleeting yet fierce moment of survival. Captured in my front yard, this frame is a reminder that nature’s raw stories unfold all around us, often closer than we think
– The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list by country and city shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
– Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
– Only one strongest photo from each author is counted in the Best Photos ranking. Even if a photographer has several published works, only the highest-rated one is used to calculate their ranking position. As a result, the order of photos in the list may not match the author's final ranking position.
