Memphis Noir [TOP100]
I had recently moved back to my Hometown, Memphis TN. While the city is known for many historical and cultural significant events, the city is currently ranked as one the poorest and dangerous cities in the United States. To bring a new perspective to the city, I chose one evening to go out and document the environment and those who inhabit the city. The town itself, plays a character in the series that is inspired by the film noir movement.

An Island
Seven hundred kilometers from the coast of the Colombian continent lies an island. This small and friendly island, full of rhythms and colors, has been influenced by Spanish and English for many years until becoming a property of Colombia. Its inhabitants, who still carry English surnames due to European colonization, always mention it with great pride. The languages spoken by all are: Creole, Spanish and English. The island's residents live long and peaceful lives within their secular homes, many in incredible conservation status. They are religious (Protestants and Catholics) and attend mass every week always in their best clothes. When they are not in church or at work, they like to watch the island's movement through the porch of their homes, while their children run free and revel in the exuberant beaches that we only have access to in the best of our vacations. The positive mood of the inhabitants of this small territory surrounded by crystalline waters, quickly captivated me. I decided to photograph all that I was seeing and feeling, but I did not just want a series of 'street photography' as I usually do when I travel, I wanted something more intimate, I wanted to get into their homes. It was when I politely or inconveniently asked to enter, to photograph them and to hear their stories. They would look at me with a smile on their faces and say, "Come in!" They told me about their families, about the origin of their houses, and about the pirates who once lived on the island. I spent only 4 days on the island and they were amazing days. I experienced a little of the reality of each one of them, the customs, the gastronomy and the feeling of tranquility that only an island can provide. Welcome to San Andres Island!
Stories through the train windows
The series is about different stories through different train windows. People feel comfortable in journey by train than any other transportation. And in this journey people come from different divisions and districs and sometimes from different countries also. They come from different cities and villages which have different cultures and stories. So i tried to show the different stories from different windows and different compartments of trains.

The Chaotic Kawran Bazar
This is the largest wholesale market in Dhaka and there are more than a thousand stalls – a thousand eager entrepreneurs, a thousand shops full of goods, and thousands upon thousands of shoppers. The market is already open as early as 4am and normally will end around 11am.

People in shapes
People in their daily life contained in open or closed shapes. The container is the urban environment. This series is part of a project I started in 2015 documenting daily life in the most western city of France. It is called "Brest la Blanche", it is shot exclusively on 135 and 120 film and mostly in black & white.

Arrival
Vienna, Austria It was a big luck - I've just going back from the Spittelau incinerator and took only 2 or 3 shots in a row to got this one. I appreciate this ideal cross (with no perspective changes!) and feeling of street/urban life of a big city from one side and just one from a thousands families as a small piece of this huge puzzle.

Umbrella
The image respects all the canons of minimalism: the Sea shaded by long time and transformed into a mirror of the sky; The simple, clean and tidy composition: The mild and relaxing atmosphere. The figure of passage, however, breaks the symmetry and the boredom of the conventions, adding a welcome element of interest, color and movement. The umbrella is the natural focal point of the scene: although small in the scene, it has strength and weight thanks to the color. In the cold and blue Palette, the double red spot of the umbrella and its reflection immediately catches the eye. Thanks to the umbrella, the man who walks becomes the protagonist and the fact that he is about to leave the scene acquires much more meaning. The figure that moves appears suspended between sky and clouds, with a surreal and poetic impact, and leaves us free to fill it with meanings

The Curious Insider
I was framing the beautiful geometric composition of this building. Suddenly a lady from inside opens one of the mirror and stares at me. I pressed the shutter as a subject was added to this frame . Coincidentally , the two colors of her dress were similar to the colors outside of that building .

Acrobatas
Photograph registered at Praia do Forte in Cabo Frio - Rio de Janeiro in September. Noting that there was a group of circus performers (acrobats) training during the afternoon in Praia, I took advantage of a scene, from which I saw a composition that led me to this result.

Death Walked around in Casablanca
I saw Death. She was walking around the market of Casablanca. She was walking slowly. Shopping. For what? Maybe it was a reason to mix with people and choose some. Or maybe she was just resting. She bought cardamom, ginger and mint. She was smiling. She was giving herself away since light and sun irritated her. She did not stand this walk for long and slowly left. She left tired. She looked at a child. Hopefully she did not need the child. Hopefully the child was just on her way and that is why she looked in that direction. On the street, she was just like us. She looked around for cars. Was this a joke or a well-performed role? If the car hit her would something really happen? I doubt it. But she looked around, wise Death. I got scared that if she saw me, she would get angry. Poor me if she gets angry with me.She walked away and hid in an alley. I hope I will not meet her soon.

Bounce
Childhood comes with fortune or hardship. Underprivileged day labourer children are enjoying after work playful time in the sandbar, street and beach before going back to their slum or street houses. Trashes are their precious toys. Excuses swirls around when it’s time to go to day work but to the school. They bear the responsibility to earn a small yet much needed amount to buy family necessaries. A common scenario in Bangladesh.
Md. Iqbal Hossain, Bangladesh, Dhaka
Future Window
I look out of the window and see the lights and the skyline and the people on the street rushing around looking for peace, hope and harmony within their souls. It is then, that I realised how crucial it is to harbor gratitude; how hope inspires forward action instead of stagnation in a human; how vital it is to constantly anticipate a brighter day every day. Location: Azad Kashmir. A blessed land of beauty, art and culture.
Thoughts like a dragon fly
"Your photograph is a reflection of Yourself", said Minor White. Apart from the simple composition, strongly built high-contrast treatment and the intriguing 'dragonflies' that hover around his head. Broadly speaking, it is a portrait of every man and woman. Hidden in the seemingly simple helicopters grumbling over his head is a superlative symbolism of sorts - one begins to hear the moan and murmur of thoughts, anxieties, and troubles of everyday life. shot on Fujifilm xt2 from doha , Qatar

Iftar
On #Ramadan, all Muslim people finish their fast. Iftar or Fatoor is the evening meal with which Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. Muslims break their fast at the time of the call to prayer for the evening prayer. The daily fast during Ramadan begins immediately after the pre-dawn meal of Suhur and continues during the daylight hours, ending with sunset with the evening meal of Ifthar. (Manama - Bahrain).

Color of joy
Red is the color of extremes. It’s the color of passionate love, seduction, violence, danger, anger, and adventure. Our prehistoric ancestors saw red as the color of fire and blood – energy and primal life forces – and most of red’s symbolism today arises from its powerful associations in the past.
