"Ethiopian people" is a series of photos that were taken during my visit to Ethiopia and are part of the album "Ethiopian tribes expedition" and "SECOND ETHIOPIAN TRIBES EXPEDITION" 2019,black and white.
The frame is shot with a drone. The challenge was to fly the drone manually in full synchronization with the tractor to give the sense of motion in the picture. I took a long exposure to achieve the effect of motion blur while keeping all the machine's details. No motion blur effects are added to the post-processing.
These two birds were practically jumping for joy after they made this quick getaway.
They leapt to flight when a hungry Golden Jackal went after them in a snowy ambush.
It was a close shave for the lucky birds with the jackal only feet behind them as they took off.
“I was glad just to be able to photograph a jackal.
“But suddenly he rushed towards the magpies. These birds are not the usual prey for the jackals and I am pretty sure the jackal was not going to chase them.
“I just had a feeling that the magpies provoked the jackal for some reason. I would say the magpies just made the jackal mad just with their presence.
“And he looked really angry. There was a moment when it seemed the jackal would grasp the bird – but the birds are quite fast and cautious and this time they were lucky enough to escape
“I am fond of wildlife photography and this was a usual shooting – I was lucky to see a golden jackal and actually I did not expect any action shots.
“And the jackal relaxed just after the birds disappeared from his sight.
“Of course I feel happy I saw this action and have been able to photograph and make some descent shots.”
I saw Death.
She was walking around the market of Casablanca. She was walking slowly. Shopping. For what? Maybe it was a reason to mix with people and choose some. Or maybe she was just resting. She bought cardamom, ginger and mint. She was smiling. She was giving herself away since light and sun irritated her. She did not stand this walk for long and slowly left. She left tired. She looked at a child. Hopefully she did not need the child. Hopefully the child was just on her way and that is why she looked in that direction. On the street, she was just like us. She looked around for cars. Was this a joke or a well-performed role? If the car hit her would something really happen? I doubt it. But she looked around, wise Death. I got scared that if she saw me, she would get angry. Poor me if she gets angry with me.She walked away and hid in an alley.
I hope I will not meet her soon.
Tre Cime di Lavaredo at night in the Dolomites in Italy, Europe
The Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Italian for '"Three Peaks of Lavaredo"'), also called the Drei Zinnen (German for '"Three Merlons"'), are three distinctive battlement-like peaks, in the Sexten Dolomites of northeastern Italy. They are probably one of the best-known mountain groups in the Alps.
This is a photo from our session with Teodora, I made that photo in 2012 and it was a improvisation in a book store in our home town Varna ( Bulgaria ). I`ve asked the manager of the store to shot there and that photo take a 20 minute. I told to take different books and just hold for a second on a different ways, after that I work two weeks on that photo :)
In 1868 it was the place of the final battle between Bulgarian rebels led by Hadzhi Dimitar and Stefan Karadzha and forces of the Ottoman Empire. On 31 July Hadji Dimitar and a band of 30 chetniks fought a losing battle against 700 Ottoman troops; only four Bulgarians survived. Their action served as an inspiration for the Liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottomans ten years later; the decisive battle of that conflict was fought a few miles away at the Shipka Pass. The battle of Buzludzha inspired the renown Bulgarian poet and revolutionary Hristo Botev to write the poem "Hadzhi Dimitar":
He who falls while fighting to be free
can never die: for him the sky
and earth, the trees and beasts shall keen,
to him the minstrel's song shall rise…
"Life positioning" refers to the specific behavior towards others that an individual learns based on certain assumptions made in life.
When one looks up, there is always someone above him who is walking around his head. Is the choice to be top or bottom ours?
