Fisheries play an important role in the economy of India. India is one of the largest producers of fish, both marine and inland. The fisheries sector provides employment to over 11 million people engaged fully, partially or in subsidiary activities pertaining to the sector, with an equally impressive segment of the population engaged in ancillary activities.
Fisheries help in augmenting food supply, generating employment, raising nutritional level and earning foreign exchange. Fish forms an important part of the diet of many people living in the coastal areas of Kerala, West Bengal, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa and Maharashtra.
A fishing community is a community that is substantially dependent on, or substantially engaged in, the harvest or processing of fishery resources to meet social and economic needs; the fishing vessel owners, operators, crew and fish processors that are based in such a community.
. Here I tried to capture the activities of fishing community near the eastern sea coast line of Sagar Island, Bakhali, Paradeep and Puri area.

We often abandon our aged parents who have
sacrificed so much for giving us a good life and making us what we are today. In return all they ever want from us is a little bit of our time. This old woman had an expression of solitude as if she was missing something or someone in her life.

It was around 7am in Talchapar , some of the Black bucks that were gazing into the grasses. I spotted the most beautiful Male , probably the dominant male of the heard, cause he was totally curious to know about me and was watching my activities through out the time. I kept my pace slow and was dressed in camouflage color in order to reduce disturbance. And i was lying down on the muddy land so the shy herd of black bucks can come closer to me . And I kept the Sun and the black buck parallel to my lens. The toughest challenge is that animal will move, I also changed my camera angle accordingly. For that, I needed to crawl and move a lot on the ground. And clicked my desired moment.
Completely handheld shot.

The baya weaver is a weaverbird found across the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Flocks of these birds are found in grasslands, cultivated areas, scrub and secondary growth and they are best known for their hanging retort shaped nests woven from leaves. These nest colonies are usually found on thorny trees or palm fronds and the nests are often built near water or hanging over water where predators cannot reach easily. They are widespread and common within their range but are prone to local, seasonal movements mainly in response to rain and food availability.
The giant mirror that the Mandarmani beach turns itself into during early hours of winter is a perfect place for shooting some stunning photos. As I saw this man riding his cycle down the beach against a dramatic sky, I knew I had to take the shot. The streaking sunlight from the left rounded up the composition. I don't know if you can see this, but in the bag in the back of the cycle he was carrying a live goat.
It was a winter evening at Velavadar when I was in search of an Indian grey wolf. But I have not expected to see the predator along with the prey. Generally this kind of chase happened in the early morning. But suddenly on that evening I found a kind of dust storm was coming towards me from the far end of the grass land. Then i understood that a group of antelopes were running together which creates the dusty background . It looked like a race. It was a race of death. Whoever wins the race will get his "life" as a prize. The group of Black bucks was been chased by the hunter & the hunter was none other than an Indian Grey Wolf. On that day one male Black buck lost the race & was killed by the deadly predator.
It is so great to see both of male and female Red crested pochards in one frame, specially male pochard's feather colour is awesome to see, and when they run over surface of water before fly, the scene is amazing.
The journey of life is full of ups and down. In this journey we always need at least one person to stand by us no matter what happen in any condition. This photo signify the same perspective that how both trees are standing tall in the middle of the sea for years without any condition.

It was the start of monsoon 2018 in Kolkata and it was raining heavily that day. I was lucky enough to witness this moment of love between a mother and daughter rushing home through the rain. I heard the mother as she told her daughter to hold her hand and she'll get her home safely. It was a beautiful moment.
