Lose your Sense
Islanda.
THE MOTHER ARRIVES
A long year of studies and observations to follow this subject, many nights in white, this is the life of the true nature photographer, the shot is only the conclusion of a very long and tiring journey, when I managed to resume this moment, the satisfaction was immense, here Strix aluco as he pulls back from the hunt with the prey just caught. Trails Of Lights And Fires On Mount Etna - Unesco World Heritage Site
Sicily - March 2017; The Volcano Etna woke for the second time in a month.; According to Greek mythology; Hephaestus was the craftsman and smith of gods.; The ancient Greeks and Sicilians believed that he had his abode and his forge under the volcano Etna and that the eruptions were the proof of his mighty work. The landscape was enlightened by the gentle light of the Moon showing the “Sciara”, the black volcanic, rocks covered by a thick layer of snow. From the top crater a lava plume adorned the sky with trails of fire in front of a curtain of gentle lights pictured by the stars rotating around Polaris.
Nest of Stars
the place is called "Nido dei passeri" (nest of birds), so this is my interpretation with stars.

A peaceful sunset in Ålesund.
This shot was taken in the Ålesund's scharming cole in front of the small port. During a trailer trip along the whole Norway, my family and I had the pleasure and luckily to see wonderful places. In this picture I try to capture the absolutely unique sunset lights. Everything was calm and peaceful and I was very lucky to have the chance to see such an incredible sky.

Ascetic
The project stems from the idea of representing a female figure with a gesture, almost a last effort, tends to reach, from the darkness of the deep sea, the surface, separator element between the air and water between dark and light, between life and death, but also a symbol of a passage to another life no longer earthly but spiritual, eternal.

hurricane
Suspended in the clouds, with the look that goes beyond any limit, you can stay silent, you can think, you can pray. It is difficult to describe the majesty of so much nature and the profound serenity inspired step by step in search of the right direction. From the hanging hill (Colle Impiso), they serve more than three hours of energetic walking for several kilometers without ever missing the few red and white bands on trunks and boulders, pointing to the road. Like in many other parts of the Apennine, these paths have in the past been mainly driven by brigands and lumberjacks ..... today, however, by those looking for emotion to be translated into a good photo. *always have pity for my translations

Water jump
A bear is fishing in Kuril Lake, making an impressive jump in the water after a run in shallow water. Bears' fishing technique in Kuril Lake is unusual, different from the technique used in the creeks, especially when the number of salmons is limited: a bear stares the water from the beach, and when it sees a near salmon, it leaps in the deep water catching the fish directly with its mouth. This year at the beginning of August there were very few salmons in the Kuril Lake: local scientists estimated 700.000 salmons instead of a normal number of 2.5/3.0 millions. It's not clear if this was caused by a delay in the arrival of the salmons, but I think it's more likely a real decay of the total number of salmons. The only river connecting the lake to the ocean is now used for fishing 6 days a week by a company producing canned salmon, reducing the arrival of salmons. In addition, the volume of tourists is increasing every year, bringing noise with helicopters and motorboats. The result is an increasing difficult in taking fishes for the bears, a tough competition, and also more nervousness and aggressiveness of the bears (in 2018 some incidents with bears happened). Kuril Lake is a unique paradise for bears (and for wildlife photographers too), but the industrial exploitation of salmons and the human impact of tourists risk to rapidly ruin this special oasis. Russian scientists are monitoring the situation, but we know that everywhere economic interests often prevail on nature preservation...

Strength of joy
Traveling through Indonesia, during the days that recall national independence, in a village on the island of Java, some men played greasy pole. The amazement, the joy and the opposing effort made by the dirty and scratched men struggling with the climb, gave me a feeling of unity and fun that I rarely found elsewhere.
The world in his eyes, Namibia,2017.
Taken in a primitive Himba village in Namibia, this picture portrays a kid whose eyes reflect the “technological world” that comes close to establish a visual contact. With this photo I meant to portray a kid of rare beauty and at the same time express a sense of connection.
Stripes
This is my most recent project. In this series I wanted to create images with the same texture of the background. The idea was born starting from the thought on the relationship between the soul and the body. The soul is part of us but at the same time I feel it independent. The concept of this project is based on this solitary flight. I imagine myself and I imagine my soul. This is a pindaric thought, an imaginary path. In these images I see a woman who is detaching herself from a wall and, her material, gets rid from emptiness.
and suddenly, the fog
Bordeaux, Place de la Bourse, the square-mirror. During the summer the square is filled with people, tourists, children, who play and run on its surface, constantly wet to reflect the beautiful scenery of the square. Suddenly, the fog. Everything is wrapped in cotton wool, and those people, who were previously \"colours in the sun\", become shadows, shadows playing, running, playing, dancing... in that artificial fog that moves them away, that isolates them, at least for a while, from the real world.

After the storm
(Haruki Murakami)

modern slavery in brick field
The world is going through a speedy urbanization and Bangladesh is not an exception from this. Such rapid urbanization generates a massive demand for bricks as it is one of the key ingredients to build concrete structure. To meet this growing need, numbers of brick making field have been increasing at an alarming rate in Bangladesh. Most of them took place in farming lands which causes reduction of agricultural production..We know that burning coal causes tremendous emission of Carbon-Di-Oxide (CO2) gas which is primarily responsible for climate change. Brick making fields use coal as fuel to burn raw bricks. Burning coal is also foremost cause of acid rain, and toxic air pollution..Workers work here from dawn to dusk still their wage is not up to the minimum standard. Beside this the working condition is so dusty that one cannot breathe properly without mask

Hong Kong Solo
Loneliness can develop into a life-threatening condition. "Hong Kong Solo" is the continuation of a project I started in Tokyo with "Progetto Hebi", a self-financed docu-fiction that I shot in 2014, in which I analyzed the solitude of the inhabitants of Tokyo. It can be difficult to form or sustain relationships in Hong Kong. Loneliness is a growing problem in developing cities all over the world. It is difficult for the overworked to develop quality relationships. Or as a result, they may feel isolated or disconnected from the rest of society. The choice of Hong Kong, compared to other large metropolises of the East, was dictated by a purely aesthetic reason. Not only women and men, but also the atmosphere, the buildings, the streets and the great Kowloon Bay express their loneliness simply by showing themselves to the world. "Hong Kong Solo" is therefore my personal attempt to show how the absurdity of overproduction, excess and overload can lead to extreme loneliness.
Umbrella
The shot aims to represent a surreal atmosphere given the weather conditions and the contrast of the sky at that time. I tried as much as possible the simplicity and cleaning of the shot, the umbrella is the natural focal point of the scene, even if small has strength and weight to the image The man who walks becomes the protagonist and the fact that he is about to leave the scene acquires much more meaning. The figure that moves appears suspended between sky and clouds, with a surreal and poetic impact, and leaves us free to do it and fill it with meanings
lunar month
The position of the Moon has been resumed every 1,481 minutes, ie 24 hours and 41 minutes. For get a classic analemma, it would have been it is necessary to wait 24 hours and 51 minutes (the rhythm of the lunar month). There is a 10 minute gap. In this way his Moon is always a little "in advance" and this justifies the wider curve: the satellite in the photograph is in fact located a little further to the left of the typical position of the analemma. The advance, which at the end it is about 4 hours between the first day (in top right) and the last (bottom left), not has effect on the lunar phase recovered, at least for this that we can perceive from the ground (enlightenment of the satellite does not vary significantly in this time frame). So, except for the first shot (the one at the top right: as explained before, the chronological progression goes from right to left), the placement of the Moon in the heavenly vault is always farther from that classic. It is therefore a choice: the composition it does not represent the synodic month but "only" the lunar curve, reproducing something that exists really but that does not have a precise definition. For a question of correctness and clarity, I deliberately talked about "lunar curve" e not of "synodic curve" or "lunar analemma" just in reference to the longer time intervals short between shots. It will not be a classic analemma but it is nice.
