La Cueva de las Palomas (The Cave of the Doves) is a unique natural location near Valencia, featuring a cave and a waterfall within the same setting.
It allows for photographic perspectives both from inside the cave and from the surrounding landscape.
Despite the difficulty caused by its proximity to Valencia, this year I was finally able to capture the Milky Way from this location, highlighting its rare epic character within the region.

This is an architectural series exploring the fabulous interior staircases of a museum in Germany (Duisburg) designed by renowned architects Herzog and De Meuron. The natural light that sometimes penetrates through the windows and the captivating colours and shapes of these imposing staircases allow for particularly aesthetic and sometimes almost abstract architectural photographs to be taken.

Each frame isolates a fragment of Niemeyer’s vision, transforming the complex into a study of continuity, balance, and restrained monumentality.

A ten-image architectural study of the Budapest Metro system, photographed with consistent perspective control and geometric clarity. Each image isolates a specific structural element of the stations—ceiling patterns, ventilation details, lighting grids, curved tunnels, escalator shafts, platform corridors, and multi-column halls. The compositions rely on symmetry, linear repetition, and controlled vanishing points, with exposure balanced to retain detail across both illuminated and shadowed areas. The series presents the metro network as a set of ordered architectural spaces, unified through precise framing and a clean, competition-ready visual approach.

На Камчатке самая высокая концентрация вулканов на земле. Вулканы Камчатки отличаются и разнообразием. Они могут быть классической конусообразной формы со срезанной вершиной – кратером. Или целые вулканические массивы с несколькими конусами и кратерами. Или могут представлять собой горный цирк, образовавшийся когда-то взрывом. Склоны и окрестности наиболее активных вулканов отличаются неземными пейзажами безжизненных вулканических пустынь и оставляют невероятные впечатления. Древние потухшие вулканы примечательны своей флорой, альпийскими лугами с огромным количеством цветов и ягод, и многие из них напоминают виды швейцарских Альп.

Guardians of the Green Heart: The Mentawai of Siberut
Deep in the rainforest, I found the oldest tribe of Indonesia living with ancient rituals that lured me to document them. This story begins with the characters: the mystic Aman Java and the hunter Aman Lari. I found them in the jungle searching for prey, a perfect synchronization where Aman Java scans the canopy while Aman Lari tracks the ground. After an intense search, the mystic’s experience speaks, and they follow his lead to new ground. Finally, Aman Java points out the prey; Aman Lari spots it and smiles as it is exactly on his target. Living with them, I felt such warmth; they have no modern things, but they have welcoming smiles and a beautiful sanctuary in nature. ( Siberut, Indonesia 2025 )
Cordillera Blanca is on of the most impressive regions in Peru. It\'s a home of Huascaran, the highest mountain in Peru (6768m) as well as glaciers, alpine lakes and breathtaking scenery.

Восхождение на Авачинский вулкан запомнится надолго. Погода не предвещала, что удастся подняться. Туман, тропа не видна, чуть покружили, да и сам конус вулкана был слегка заснеженным. Мне казалось, что подняться невозможно, но оказалось, вполне реально. И неожиданно тучи-облака рассеялись, немного потрепало ветром с моросью, но распогодилось! Что понравилось в вулканах? Никогда не знаешь заранее, что ждёт наверху — озёра ли, лавовая пробка? Тут всё дымило, вулкан дышал, фумаролы источали сильный запах сероводорода, смотрелось грандиозно! Только спустившись с конуса вулкана, Авачинский открылся полностью — и тут же снова затянуло туманом. Мы довольные и счастливые двинулись вниз. В ночь на 20 января 2026 года случилась одна из сильнейших геомагнитных бурь за последние 20 лет - ночной пик достиг G4,7 (почти экстремальный уровень G5), а скорость солнечного ветра достигала 900 км/с, что является одними из максимальных показателей в XXI веке.
Мне посчастливилось застать эту ночью на Байкале, при этом небо было совершенно ясным. На телефон пришло уведомление, что есть шанс увидеть сияние на горизонте, но сначала я отнесся к нему скептически, все-таки 53-я широта не слишком располагает к наблюдению полярного сияния. Однако выйдя на улицу после ужина я все же сделал пробный кадр на телефон - небо оказалось красно-фиолетовым.
Дальше - бегом в гостиницу за камерой, а затем - на мыс Бурхан, к Шаманке. Сияние уже начинало угасало, но за час съемки мы успели проработать несколько точек, бегали как угорелые, совсем позабыв, что на улице -33. О морозе напоминала только разряжающаяся техника: приходилось доставать аккумулятор из фотоаппарата и греть его за пазухой, чтобы сделать еще несколько кадров на последних процентах.
Несмотря на сложности, съемка удалась - получилось сделать уникальные фотографии. Вот что значит оказаться в нужное время в нужном месте.
i came to know there is an old man living in thu sy village, near hanoi. he is an artisian, makes traditional bamboo fish traps. i was curious to know this fading tradition of bamboo waving technique. as soon as i reached there i was amazed with the natural beautiful geometry of the crafts placed for drying, there was a small stool where the artisian was arranging the crafts for drying. he has the halping hand of his wife as they are doing this craft work from 5 decades. this is an extraordinary art which needs skillful hands to craft with dangerously sharp tools and bare hands. as day was rising his routine to carry his crafts to sell nearby village market, managing all those big bamboo fish traps on cycle to ride its is a skillful art. after coming from village market in afternoon he cooked his poriadge for lunch as this workshop is his home too. having full stomach and having fun with his prestigious chicken is a mood changer of the workshop to a harmonious environment. a bright sunny day with a good sale in market and having favorite meal with his cute feather freind he is in mood to wind up the workshop after smoking his traditional pipe called dieu cay. the evening fog slowly took over the village and a day of a great artisian was felt like a dream. Young Guéré girls protect the village by the animal spirits of the forest, particularly snakes. The so-called snake girls begin their initiation at the age of three. The community\\\'s shaman \\\'Simbo\\\' teaches them to capture the essence of nature, in the form of the soul of a snake. Moreover, the girls were trained and drilled to perfect the technique of the snake dance - dance of the Jugglers. They are neither allowed to speak, communicate, nor to smile. During the dance the girls mimic snake movements, supposedly while in trance, and demonstrate spiritual protection. When they turn 10 years old, their relationship with this brotherhood ends, and they are released to live a normal life. The snake girl ritual is usually celebrated in communities that live in isolated and difficult-to-access regions in Ivory Coast and Liberia.

From the calloused strength of his hands to the weathered resilience of his feet, every line etched in his skin tells the story of survival and ancestral belief in the heart of the jungle. Life in Makoko\\\'s floating slum (Lagos, Nigeria) is a story of untold hardships. Homes perch on stilts above a polluted and hazardous environment and clean drinking water is a luxury many cannot afford. Heavy rains flood the settlement multiple times annually, spreading contaminants. Rising temperatures speed up bacterial growth in stagnant water, increasing the risk and frequency of disease outbreaks. Makoko\\\'s inhabitants use canoes to move from one to another. Foreigners have described it as the Venice of Africa, and life here is incredibly difficult, but has become a symbol of resilience.
\\\\\\\"Серый период\\\\\\\" — это визуальное размышление о внутренней трансформации женщины в условиях затянувшегося декретного отпуска. Этот проект говорит о том, что редко выносится на поверхность: о потере личного пространства, о постепенном исчезновении ярких проявлений себя, о жизни в тени быта, рутины и внешней тишины.
Центральный образ — женский гардероб. Он становится зеркалом внутреннего состояния. Когда-то в нём были краски, дерзость, игра. Сегодня — десятки оттенков серого и чёрного.
В камерной, игровой манере созданы многослойные образы из повседневной одежды — юбки из юбок, платья из платьев, джинсовый \\\\\\\"букет\\\\\\\".
Эти образы одновременно абсурдны и символичны: каждая вещь несёт память, попытку, мечту. Каждый слой — забытая история.

Without their iconic hats, they were deeply immersed in long, rhythmic Buddhist chants. The scene was filled with serenity and devotion, offering a rare and powerful glimpse into Tibetan spirituality at the heart of this sacred place.
This project explores the physics of flight immediately following a successful hunt. These frames capture the kingfisher at the most critical moment: transitioning from water back to air. It focuses on the power of the initial wingbeats, the spray of droplets shed from wet feathers, and the mid-air adjustments made to stabilize with the catch. A study of raw power, aerodynamic brilliance, and the beauty of a bird taking back to the skies.

Fishing is one of the most popular crafts in these countries, where a variety of fishing nets and even trained cormorants are used.

The jockey, standing on wooden plows, holds onto the bulls’ tails as they charge forward, splashing mud in every direction in a raw display of power and excitement. Although competitive in spirit, Pacu Jawi primarily symbolizes gratitude for a successful harvest and the unity of the village. Capturing this explosion of energy, color, and emotion was one of my most exciting field experiences.

In each frame, the Himalayas appear — at first eternal and snow-covered, then slowly consumed by fire and smoke. This isn’t a metaphor: the mountains are burning, quietly, unnoticed. Below, tangled power lines weave across the body, symbolizing the reach and cost of global connectivity.

Trust is a delicate matter. It balances on the edge between instinct and conscious choice. In every frame, the human and the horse become co-authors of an invisible dialogue — a balance where a single wrong move can disrupt the fragile harmony of their interaction.

At the heart of the project is the image of a woman standing on the horse’s back — a symbol of the subtle connection between nature and humanity, between trust and fear. There is no force here, no domination — only unity.
Through the prism of various cultural symbols and contexts, the series “Fragile Balance” tells a universal story: a story of stepping toward a world where trust and love prove stronger than any fear.
Pacu Jawi – Bull Racing in the Muddy Fields of Sumatra
In 2025, I had the opportunity to photograph the fascinating Pacu Jawi festival in West Sumatra as part of a reportage about this unique tradition. After the rice harvest, local farmers gather to celebrate the end of the season with thrilling bull races through muddy fields. The jockey, standing on wooden plows, holds onto the bulls’ tails as they charge forward, splashing mud in every direction in a raw display of power and excitement. Although competitive in spirit, Pacu Jawi primarily symbolizes gratitude for a successful harvest and the unity of the village. Capturing this explosion of energy, color, and emotion was one of my most exciting field experiences.

The echo of the Nuba people in Sudan, a world that has been lost
The Nuba people are dancers, warriors, masters of resilience. They inhabit the Nuba mountains in the South Kordofan region of war-torn Sudan. A place that was completely cut off from the outside world, for decades. Amidst genocides, oppression and abysmal humanitarian conditions, they retained their distinct culture. They are one of the world\\\'s most captivating tribes with a deep connection to their homeland. After more than 60 years of total isolation, the silence around the Nuba begins to break. In April 2025, I was grateful to capture their cultural resistance in that last place. Those are one of the first photographs that have been taken after Leni Riefenstahl\\\'s photography and narratives in 1960s til 1970s. Her photographs published in 1973 sparked worldwide controversy at the time.
Structure turns fluid, metal appears to move, and architecture becomes pure form. Light and geometry dissolve solidity into a continuous flow, creating the impression of a living shape suspended between design and infinity.

– The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list by country and city shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
– Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
– Only one strongest photo from each author is counted in the Best Photos ranking. Even if a photographer has several published works, only the highest-rated one is used to calculate their ranking position. As a result, the order of photos in the list may not match the author's final ranking position.
