Her life was not easy, yet she was a living example of someone who did the best with what life handed her. Thank you, Mom. We will always be grateful for the life lessons you taught and the love you shared.
Even in the midst of agony, hunger sorrow and bitterness, smiles brings out the best in situations that we may not be aware of.
I shot this image when I traveled for a traditional marriage in Ilaje village Ondo State Nigeria, on the 6th. December 2018 at around 5:55pm.
I stumbled on this moment and I captured it. I was moved by her smiles as she tried to console her hungry kid brother who cries profusely out of hunger and pain...
This project is focused on Politics. Nigerian political landscape is known to be dominated by cabals and/or godfathers as the case may be. Etymoligically, the term ‘cabal’ derives from the esoteric Hebrew word ‘Kabbalah’ and originally referred to a cult or secret society. In the Nigerian political context, cabals are set of faceless individuals known to influence the government especially in a democratic regime. Directly or indirectly, they have corrosive effects on political transparency and accountability. There exist a moment of reflection and a turning point in every political aspirant in the course of his/her political race. While political campaigns and elections are on going, the cabals detrmine the fate of the populace with their selfish and well calculated decisions on the outcome of any electoral exercise. The masses are void of their freedom to use their franchise in determining a democratic leader. While citizens go individually or in group to exercise their franchise and post election discussions and naratives are in progress among the people, these cabals sit with no conscience to impose a leader of their choice based solely on selfcenteredness on the masses. It is such pathetic a situation to the degree of submissiveness of the government at all levels to these faceless individuals called ‘Cabals.
Against the grey Miraculous skies
Searching for that need to feel inclined with the top
Countless cold sensations of course
Even the famous views of my being
Needless to talk for it's being affected by what same forms as me think of me...
Softly conforming to societal standards on my own being
Igniting this imminent need to feel on top
Ordinarily, I am just looking for that extra
Needful to say I'm in search of an ASCENSION
This photo was shot at a market place. what actually intrigued me about this man is his love for his mobile phone. He cared less about anybody or anything he simply enjoys the company of himself and his phone. Modern technology has added value in the lives of many. Regardless of whatever anyone is doing at some point, with your mobile phone you are connected to the world. STAY CONNECTED.
