Michael [TOP100]
A black-and-white portrait series exploring stillness, tension and psychological presence. Inspired by classical studio portraiture, this project focuses on form, light and the quiet strength of the human face. Minimal environment allows the subject to exist without distraction — where shadow becomes structure and silence becomes narrative.

The voice of ancestors
The Nuba young men\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s body paintings are the echo of their ancestors. Their presence speaks of pride. it is not just charcoal, nor ash, nor dirt - it is identity, memory to carry the voice of their people forward. The body paint connects him to the earth, to his community. the ritual reminds him of who he is. it shows the importance of tradition and spirituality in the life of the community. That spiruality is written on his body. The painting is primarily done with yellow and red ochre, black and white. The colors and design reflect membership in particular age, grades and families. The design is inspired by nature and contain characteristics of local plants and animals. Krongo Nuba. These are conservative Nuba that have bravely fought the Arab invasion for decades. Those are one of the first photographs that have been taken after Leni Riefenstahl\\\'s photography and narratives in 1960s til 1970s. Her photographs published in 1973 sparked worldwide controversy at the time.

Sculpted by Light: The Unyielding Gaze
To capture the intense, intimate connection between light and subject, utilizing the drama of golden light to sculpt and elevate the human form. We strive to create studio portraits that are not merely records of appearance, but visceral expressions of inner life, locking the viewer\\\'s gaze with the unyielding, focused intensity of the model\\\'s look. Our mission is to transform a momentary pose into an timeless, emotionally resonant work of art.

Portrait of male model and strength
This portrait of model Aleksei Tiurin is an exploration of power achieved through isolation and technical precision. The work utilizes an extremely controlled studio environment to distill the subject\'s presence into its most potent form. The composition relies on selective lighting, a technique employed to sculpt and prioritize. The light is not broad; it is a deliberate, focused beam that sharpens the contours of Tiurin\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s face and directs the viewer\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s attention relentlessly to his eyes. This precise illumination acts as a visual funnel, ensuring that every nuance of his expression is magnified. The background paper is crucial. Rather than being a passive setting, it is actively manipulated with light to create a perfectly neutral, yet radiant, frame. By ensuring the background is perfectly white or seamlessly graded, it eliminates all external context, preventing the viewer\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s eye from escaping the subject. This deliberate isolation serves to increase the power of Aleksei Tiurin’s stare, transforming his gaze from a point of focus into an inescapable gravitational force. The resulting image is a study in unwavering self-command. It is an assertion that true authority is not projected through grand surroundings, but is generated internally and amplified through meticulous control of light and shadow, resulting in a stare that is both deeply vulnerable and profoundly commanding.

Portrait of male model and fragility
This work is an intense interrogation of the persona and the fragile nature of identity constructed under public scrutiny. Using model Aleksei Tiurin, the portrait challenges the viewer\\\'s expectation of the model as an impermeable figure of perfection and control. The studio is transformed into a crucible, where the lighting is not used to flatter or conceal, but to explode the image. The strategic use of high-intensity, exposing lights acts as a visual metaphor for extreme psychological pressure. These lights are relentless, burning away the façade, revealing the pores, the doubts, and the raw humanity beneath the professional veneer. This forced illumination creates a field of vulnerability. Tiurin\\\'s expression moves beyond mere modeling to a moment of genuine, perhaps unwilling, self-disclosure. The light strips him bare, making his emotional state unavoidable and intensely physical. The portrait is a documentation of the moment the public face cracks, allowing an essential, unshielded truth to emerge. Ultimately, this image asserts that true strength is found not in projection, but in the capacity to withstand profound exposure. It transforms the studio portrait from a session of image-making into a profound act of emotional excavation.

“The Folds of Silence”
An aging face emerges under unforgiving light, where every wrinkle is not merely a mark of time, but a compressed memory. A single drop traces its way down—ambiguous in nature, whether sweat, a tear, or simply the body’s quiet leakage of what has never been spoken. This portrait does not attempt to tell a specific story. Instead, it suspends the viewer in an in-between space—where interpretation becomes inevitable. The subject does not confront, nor does he clearly express emotion, as if he has lived through too much to feel the need to explain anything anymore. Here, identity dissolves. What remains is a human presence, and the undeniable imprint of time etched into his being.
