Autumn in the City Photography Contest
Autumn in the city is a theme where the seasonal transformation of vegetation and urban architecture form a unified compositional environment. The "Autumn in the City" contest invites photographers capable of capturing this interaction.
We select shots where the urban environment is unmistakably recognizable: streets, avenues, embankments, squares, and courtyards framed by autumn foliage form a distinct sense of place.
The main criterion is location readability: it must be immediately clear from the photograph that it depicts an urban space in autumn, not a forest, field, decorative leaf arrangement, or a city in another season.
Accepted:
- Wide views of cityscapes and individual architectural structures in an autumn setting
- Shots featuring people or vehicles, provided they are organically integrated into the environment and do not shift the compositional focus away from the landscape
Not accepted:
- Close-ups of individual architectural elements (doors, windows, railings), monuments filling the entire frame, and interiors of private spaces
- Fragmentary shots (single leaves in a hand, macro droplets on glass, isolated branches and streetlights) that do not reveal the scale and structure of the urban space
