Photo Contest: Reflections
Reflections are a parallel reality living in familiar surfaces. The reflected world can double beauty, create symmetry and optical illusions, and add depth and mystery to an image that cannot be achieved by any other means. A puddle after the rain, a store window, the still surface of a lake, or a polished building facade — any surface can become a "second frame" within a photograph. In this category, any reflections are welcome — water, glass, mirrors, metal; the key is that the reflection should be a deliberate artistic device serving the composition and the idea of the image. We are looking for works in which the real and reflected worlds enter into a dialogue and together tell a story.
Accepted:
- Photographs featuring any kind of reflection — water, glass, mirrors, metal, and other reflective surfaces
- Works where the reflection is a key element of the composition and the artistic idea
Not accepted:
- Shots where the reflection appears accidentally and carries no meaning
