Photo Contest Landscape: Colors of Autumn
Autumn is the time when nature gains its special pictorial quality. Gold and crimson foliage, the transparency of thinning crowns, the graphic pattern of half-bare trunks, carpets of fallen leaves, mists over water and the low sun — all of this forms a recognizable autumn landscape. We are looking for works in which the autumn state of nature reads as the dominant mood of the frame: panoramas of forests and fields, river and lake shores, mountain slopes, plains, marshes, steppes.
The time of shooting is not limited: dawn, noon, sunset, misty morning, a night landscape with an autumn atmosphere. Shooting from the ground, from elevations, and with the help of drones — all angles are equally valid. A person or animals may be present in the frame exclusively as a scale or semantic accent, but not as the main subject of the composition.
Important: this is precisely a landscape — a natural landscape as a complete picture. Individual details, fragments and close-ups are outside the scope of the nomination.
Accepted:
- Urban landscapes: parks, squares, streets, plazas, courtyards, views of urban development
- Photographs in which the autumn state of nature is not readable or is weakly expressed
- Frames where the main subject is individual elements of nature: flowers, individual branches, tree trunks, grass, close-up leaves (macro and detail photography)
- Portrait and genre shots where a person or animal is the central subject of the composition
Not Accepted:
- Images with retained color, including any type of toning (sepia, cyanotype, color monochromes)
- Photographs not taken on a mobile device
