Photo contest Horror - 35AWARDS

"Horror" is a category dedicated to the aesthetics of fear, suspense, and dark grotesque in photography. We invite photographers to explore the darker side of visual art: from classic imagery featuring pumpkins, candles, and fog to elaborate costumed portraits and professional SFX makeup. The main goal is to create a shot that gives goosebumps, intrigues, or shocks with its artistic expressiveness. Cinematic quality, work with light and shadow, and theatrical setups that blur the line between reality and nightmare are highly encouraged.

Accepted:

Costumed portraits and characters using artistic or SFX makeup
Themed still lifes and scenes with genre attributes (pumpkins, candles, smoke, vintage objects)
Photo compositing is allowed: adding, removing, or repositioning objects, changing backgrounds, and adding graphic elements

Not accepted:

Images fully or partially created or altered using neural networks (AI)
Simple snapshots of storks, abandoned buildings, forests, graveyards, etc. without a clear authorial horror concept, storyline, or character
Images depicting real violence, cruelty, or the use of prohibited symbols
