In front of the beast's lair
A view of one of the most impressive mountains in Iceland - Kirkjufell. It is said to be the most photographed in the country. Although it was a little before midnight and there was hardly anyone at the most popular photo spot to capture it, we decided to keep the cameras in the bags and continue walking, looking for different compositions. The tide was low and this allowed us to walk for kilometers along the mountain, which paid off with the discovery of an impressive sight - countless piles of lugworms (sandworms). I had only seen them in some documentary series and the sight was amazing to me. The perfect foreground for a photo of the mountain - with the piles shapes imitating it. An hour after midnight, sunset was still going on and the light was surreal - a sense of a whole new world.
