During my frequent visits to the woodlands of Palpa, I wanted to showcase an example of Nepal\'s mid-hill woodlands in the monsoon through my lens. I encountered the perfect conditions when diffused light breathed life into the mossy gnarly branches and the tree frame, adding 3D depth. The Living Goddess Kumari, is a unique religious and cultural tradition practiced in Nepal. The term "Kumari" translates to "virgin" or "young girl" in Sanskrit. The Kumari is believed to be the reincarnation of the Hindu goddess Taleju, and she represents divine feminine energy and purity.
The Bhote Koshi River, originating in the Himalayas, is a significant watercourse in Nepal, serving as a major tributary of the Koshi River. It delineates part of the Nepal-China border, traversing the picturesque Rolwaling Valley. Renowned for its hydroelectric potential and scenic allure, the river sustains vital ecosystems, supports local livelihoods through activities such as fishing and tourism, and contributes to water resource management and energy production efforts in eastern Nepal.
