Every year in Maribor, Slovenia, they organize jumps from a 28-meter-high bridge that was destroyed during World War II and later rebuilt according to the original plans. It is a symbol of the old and the new. It connects the city and its riverbanks. The jumps themselves are also a symbolic act—they represent freedom.
A small church of St. Thomas Slovenia rises above a vast sea of morning mist, appearing like a solitary island suspended between earth and sky. Captured at sunrise, the soft golden light gently breaks through layers of clouds, illuminating the rolling hills and creating a dreamlike, ethereal atmosphere.
This fleeting moment lasted only a few minutes, as the fog slowly shifted and reshaped the landscape, revealing and hiding the scene in constant motion. The composition emphasizes solitude, serenity, and the quiet beauty of nature at dawn — a place where time seems to stand still.
The Peace Festival takes place at Congress Square in Ljubljana, organised by the Peace Institute, while the names of Palestinian children killed in the war in Gaza are being read aloud. Sheets of paper hang bearing the names of Palestinian children, a small plush rabbit in a child\'s hand carries a weight lighter than paper, yet deeper than words. The child walking beneath those white sheets does not know it is moving through the silence of history; it simply walks - freely, playfully - unaware that above its head are written the names of those who never had the chance to take their first steps. At the heart of this rhythm stands the child-alive, real, holding a plush rabbit - the only point of warmth in a world growing cold with names.
– The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list by country and city shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
– Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
– Only one strongest photo from each author is counted in the Best Photos ranking. Even if a photographer has several published works, only the highest-rated one is used to calculate their ranking position. As a result, the order of photos in the list may not match the author's final ranking position.
