From the gateway to the Chocó biogeographic region, where the rainforest breathes to its rhythm, a Sibon nebulatus rests upon a leaf, as if sketched by the forest itself. Calm, unassuming, and nearly invisible, this Cloudy Snail-eating Snake embodies one of the most hidden dimensions of biodiversity: the one that does not impose, waits, and flows.
Photographed in Risaralda, Colombia, on an April night in 2025, this image captures the moment when natural heritage reveals itself in its most intimate form. There is no spectacle, no clamor—only the subtle choreography of life, form, and silence.
