Urban Parks

About

Urban parks are natural landscapes woven into the urban fabric: ponds, alleys, riverbanks, blooming meadows, and centuries-old park trees. They become part of a city’s identity—not as recreational infrastructure, but as living, breathing nature that maintains the balance between concrete and greenery. Submissions must be landscape photographs with nature in the city as the central subject. This may include sweeping views of park ensembles, a sunset over an urban pond, an autumn forest lining a busy street, fog rising over a riverside floodplain in the heart of a metropolis—any image that conveys the harmony or dramatic tension between nature and the urban environment through the language of landscape photography.

Accepted:

• Landscape photographs taken within city limits, with nature as the main subject: trees, water bodies, meadows, seasonal changes, etc.
• Atmospheric images capturing light, weather, time of day, or season in an urban natural environment

Not accepted:

• Photographs that do not clearly indicate the image was taken within city limits (lacking any hint of an urban context)
• Images executed in the architectural or urban genre that do not contain evident natural elements
• Shots in which the primary focus is on urban amenities: benches, lampposts, pathways, trash bins, playgrounds, sports areas, art installations, fences, etc.
• Human presence is permitted, provided people are not the central or dominant element of the composition
