Clouds Photography Contest: General Reference and Guidelines

Clouds are one of the most dynamic and technically demanding subjects in photography. They live by their own laws: condensing into massive cumulus systems, breaking apart into delicate cirrus patterns, changing density, volume, and color depending on the angle of light and atmospheric conditions. In this contest, we are looking for unusual images that go beyond conventional landscape clichés. We are interested in frames that surprise and make you stop: shot from unexpected angles, with surprising interactions of light and texture, featuring rare atmospheric conditions, or bold compositions where clouds become the main visual and semantic anchor. We value technical proficiency and exposure control, but the main criterion remains the author's vision — the ability to see a unique story in the everyday sky and convey it through light, space, and the precise moment.

Accepted:

• Frames where clouds serve as the main compositional element and define the visual focus

Not accepted:

• Images where clouds are merely a random background without compositional or semantic significance
