Photo Contest Wild Animals with Offspring
The bond between parents and offspring in the wild embodies the nurturing instinct, vulnerability, and the continuous struggle for survival. This genre requires not only incredible patience and technical skill from the photographer, but also a deep respect for the fragility of life. We are looking for images that capture genuine moments of nurturing, protection, and passing down knowledge in their natural habitat, without any human interference. Priority is given to works that convey the emotional connection, behavioral traits, and interaction between generations.
All wild species are eligible for the contest: mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians. The main condition is the presence in the frame of both an adult of the species and its offspring.
Accepted:
- Photographs of wild animals with their offspring in their natural habitat
- Shots demonstrating care, nurturing, playing, feeding, teaching, or protecting the offspring
- Animals with their offspring must be the central subject of the composition
Not accepted:
- Photographs of domestic or domesticated animals, livestock, and pets
- Shots taken in zoos, aviaries, circuses, breeding centers, aquariums, farms, or any other conditions of captivity
- Images where people or human-made objects are present (clothing, equipment, feeders, buildings, fences, roads, vehicles)
- Photographs of solitary adult individuals or a single offspring without a parent (other thematic categories exist for such works)
- Works where animals serve merely as a background or a secondary element
