During our wanderings in Masai Mara, we noticed a lily pad on one of the trees. In Israel, the chameleon, a cousin of the African warbler, is a migratory bird that passes through the country on its way to Africa. All my attempts to take a single decent photo of Kahal in Israel were unsuccessful. The lilac is a suspicious and unyielding bird. In Africa, on the other hand, the tourists' jeeps are part of the fabric of life and therefore they do not see them as a threat and thus, it is much easier to photograph them.
The blue was on a mission to get his daily menu. I focused on the branch he was sitting on, because I assumed he would return to it. I increased the shutter speed to 1/8000, hoping that luck would finally fall on my side. The second I spotted him out of the corner of my eye returning to the branch, I started taking pictures hoping to capture the beauty of his magic fan of colors and to my great joy, I succeeded.
