In this picture, the stark shadow separates reality the person finds herself, in two parts. Considering the fact that she wears a medical mask we can easily read the antithesis of brightness and darkness as a metaphor for the isolation and confinement of people during the pandemic. While she is on the move, she looks like being stuck inside this strip of light, isolated by the rest of the world. The graffiti on the wall underlines the cityscape, and the society by extension. With just a few simple ingredients, light, shadow, and a person, i have managed to tell a story that speaks to all people.
