Rufous necked Hornbill was flying in search of fruits.This species is found in dense hill forests and subtropical evergreen forests in northeastern India and Southeast Asia.Rufous-necked Hornbills are omnivorous, primarily feeding on fruits, but also consuming small mammals, birds, and insects.The male is a large bird with a rufous (reddish-brown) colored head, neck, and underparts, and a glossy dark body. Both sexes have a black-and-white tail and distinctive sky-blue facial skin with a red throat pouch. They possess a large bill with dark grooves, but it lacks a true casque on top.
