I started experimenting in this world 1 year ago, I had already done the classic summer milky ways before but I felt that something was missing both on a technical level and in terms of results. In March 2024 I decided to astromodify my Canon EOS R, dedicating it exclusively to astrophotography. I immediately purchased an L-PRO filter and started testing it in April/May. I already knew that basically the more integration you do, the better. I had never photographed the winter night sky that now, finally, could be seen. At the end of December 2024 I went with some friends to Castelluccio di Norcia and during the second evening of our trip I decided together with a friend to photograph the Swan, for me it was the first time. We didn't have much time, dinner was waiting for us. I managed to take home 20 shots. ISO3200 f/2.8 80sec @35mm (Canon 15-35RF). Back home I decided it was time to take the "big step" and buy Pixinsight. So, after some tests and swearing. I managed more or less to make my Astro Workflow procedural in a way that satisfied me making this in fact my first image preprocessed with Pixinsight. Once I finished processing the sky on Pix I worked on Photoshop where I then combined the sky with the foreground taken from the same place the same evening. I must point out that I am not a purist of photography, nor of astrophotography. What interests me is to obtain a visually satisfying result and a final image that communicates what I have in mind.
