The image captures a serene moment in nature where a water buffalo is partially submerged in a body of water, with two birds perched on it.
An Intermediate egret stands gracefully on the buffalo\'s head, its long neck elegantly curved downward, possibly looking for insects or small prey.
A Pond Heron is perched on the buffalo’s curved horn.
The water reflects warm golden hues, likely from the setting or rising sun, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
This image beautifully illustrates a symbiotic relationship in nature, where birds benefit by feeding on parasites from the buffalo, while the buffalo enjoy some relief from pests.

Theyyam is an ancient folk ritual.Kandanar Kelan was out hunting in the forest when suddenly the forest caught fire. Finding no other means of escape he climbed a tree. This tree was also the home of two snakes. The fire consumed the tree, the snakes and Kandanar Kelan. Vayanat Kulavan, another warrior god was passing by the burnt forest when he saw the image of Kandanar Kelan in the ashes. With his bow he traced out Kandanar Kelan and gave him life. The theyyam is an embodiment of the Kandanar Kelan and how he shows his anger towards the fire for burning him up.

– The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list by country and city shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
– Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
– Only one strongest photo from each author is counted in the Best Photos ranking. Even if a photographer has several published works, only the highest-rated one is used to calculate their ranking position. As a result, the order of photos in the list may not match the author's final ranking position.
