Wolf Trinity [TOP100]
My pursuit of the endangered Indian wolf led me to a small village near Bhigwan, in the Indian state of Maharashtra, called Kumbhargaon. I learned from the local residents that a few wolf packs were frequently spotted near the agricultural fields in the area. I decided to establish a camp there and spent the following days closely following these packs. On one memorable occasion, I positioned myself in a rut created by farm tractors near a freshly tilled field, aiming to capture the wolves at eye level. It was during this time that I observed three sub-adult wolves engaged in playful interactions. That is when I decided to capture a few action shots to show how boisterous these amazing creatures were.

Guardians of the Frozen Realm
Capturing the essence of the Arctic wilderness, I call this frame \'Guardians of the Frozen Realm\' as it portrays a beautiful moment from the frozen part of the planet. A vigilant mother polar bear stands tall, her gaze scanning the icy horizon keeping her baby under her protective shadow, while the curious cub is looking up to his mother. The image freezes time, revealing a tender connection in the harsh beauty of their frozen habitat. Image taken in Svalbard - 25th June 2023 Gears - Nikon z9 with NIKORR Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR

Solio's essence, stripped of colour, emerges in the timeless dance of light and shadows
Solio's noble rhinos and other animals, framed against a canvas of billowing clouds, embodies both strength and vulnerability. This wide-angle perspective captures the grandeur of the landscape, where conservation and the untamed beauty of the sky converge, showcasing the precious harmony within Solio Game Reserve.

In the heart of Amboseli's vast wilderness, a defining moment unfolded one afternoon. Craig, the gentle giant of the savannah, graced the landscape with his majestic presence, his colossal form captivating all who beheld him. As he ambled past, his massive tusks glistened in the sunlight, a testament to his strength and resilience. In a world where few big tuskers remain, Craig stood as a symbol of the importance of conservation efforts to protect these magnificent creatures. From my vantage point, I captured Craig in all his splendor, the low angle emphasizing his immense size and stature. It was a humbling sight, a reminder of the responsibility we bear to safeguard the most intelligent animals on our planet. In that fleeting moment, I felt a deep connection to Craig and his world. His presence stirred something within me—a sense of awe and reverence for the beauty of nature and the need to preserve it for future generations. As Craig disappeared into the wilderness, I reflected on the privilege of witnessing such a sight. This image, frozen in time, serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of protecting these magnificent creatures and the fragile ecosystems they call home.

Drops of Life
This spotted Hyena drinking water reminded me the water is so precious a commodity for plat earth. While a significant portion of earth is water, we are still struggling to have access to drinking water. And by we I mean humans, animals alike.

This was a memorable moment for me , captured at Masaimara National Reserve, Kenya .I was observing the movement of the cheetah since morning. At around 1 pm she targeted an Impala standing alone in the forest. She was moving very silently . I was keeping my focus on the cheetah with animal eye tracking. Suddenly it started to chase the impala. All on a sudden the Impala jumped in the air to escape. The cheetah was also started to jump to grasp the Impala. At that moment I triggered in burst mode and captured this moment.

Sharing the sky
In the life of selfishness , we are confined in our own boxes to like the fences. If we want , we can break them and fly together in the same sky, with the same air

The spy who got caught
In the green fields of Dhanauri, a drama unfolded, as captivating as it was brutal. A Sarus crane, a feathered giant, towered over a crow, a mere speck in its presence. The crane, with its regal posture and booming call, issued a stern warning: stay away. But the crow, a creature of boundless audacity, ignored the giant's pleas. It fluttered closer, its beady eyes gleaming with mischief, perhaps testing the limits of the crane's patience. The air crackled with tension, a silent duel of wills. Suddenly, the crane, its long neck a blur of motion, lunged forward. The crow, caught off guard, was no match for the swiftness of the attack. The crane's powerful beak clamped down, catching the crow by its foot. With a fierce shake of its head, the crane swung the crow from side to side, a silent display of dominance. Then, in a surprising turn, it turned towards its mate, as if seeking her approval. The female crane, witnessing the subdued crow, erupted in a flurry of fury. Her sharp beak lashed out, delivering a series of harsh chomps on the hapless crow. The punishment, swift and decisive, served as a final warning. With a final shake, the cranes released their captive. The crow, battered but alive, scurried away, its bravado thoroughly deflated. The wetland, once again, fell silent, the only sound the rustle of grass and the distant call of unseen birds. This brief encounter, a testament to the pecking order of the natural world, left an indelible mark on me. It was a story etched in feathers and fury, a reminder of the raw power and complex dynamics that lie beneath the surface of even the most serene landscapes.

Silhouette Symphony
The Taj Mahal is a masterpiece of Mughal architecture, which combines elements of Persian, Islamic, and Indian styles. The Taj Mahal is known for its symmetrical design, with a central structure flanked by four minarets at each corner. The central dome is surrounded by smaller domes and is topped by a finial. This image was clicked from Mehtab Bagh. I loved how beautifully a child was going in one direction and a couple was going on the other.

Cave Trails
This star trails image is the view from inside a small cave on a tiny island in the Arabian Sea, where an operational lighthouse is situated. The frame also shows an abandoned wood fired lighthouse which was built by the Portuguese in the nineteenth century. The foreground was shot at blue hour from inside the cave even as the lights of the lighthouse were being powered on. Went back after darkness descended to shoot the sky. The final sky shot is a stack of 380 subs. The green light in the horizon are the powerful LED lights of the Deep Sea Fishing trawlers which use these powerful lights to shine in the waters and attract the marine life near them to capture them. This technique is popularly called LED fishing.

The Last Of Us !
This image captures a poignant moment in the wild, showcasing the alpha couple of majestic Indian grey wolves striding across the horizon, silhouetted against the backdrop of a setting sun with the visible sunspots. This image is not just a testament to their untamed beauty but also a reminder of their fragile existence. With only around 3000 individuals remaining in the wild, these wolves are endangered and in dire need of conservation efforts. Their dwindling numbers underscore the urgent need for us to protect and preserve their habitats, ensuring that future generations can still witness these magnificent creatures roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Indian Chameleon
Tongue twister! The Indian chameleon's sticky tongue can launch out twice its body length, snatching unsuspecting insects with lightning speed. it`s a true marvel of natural adaptation. Imagine a tongue twice your height, whipping out at lightning speed to snag a fly mid-air! That's the kind of predatory prowess Indian chameleons possess. The secret to their tongue's success lies in a thick, honey-like mucus coating its tip. This viscous goo acts like a powerful adhesive, ensuring even the most nimble insects get securely stuck. The accuracy of their tongue strikes is equally impressive. Chameleons have excellent depth perception thanks to their independently moving eyes, allowing them to pinpoint prey with precision. They can even adjust the direction of their tongue mid-launch, fine-tuning the trajectory to intercept an evasive insect.

Egyptian Love
Photo Fact: Neferneferuaten Nefertiti (c. 1370 – c. 1330 BC) was a queen of the 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, the great royal wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshipped solely the sun disc, Aten, as the only god. With her husband, she reigned at what was arguably the wealthiest period of ancient Egyptian history.

Winning Catch...... The image was taken in a wetland in India. The action captured was indeed difficult. The movement was quite fast but somehow I managed to capture the action. A Darter when catches a big fish it took generally a little bit of more time to finally swallow it. First of all, it tries to position the fish by tossing it frequently. The moment it finds the fish perfectly placed in air it swallows the fish immediately to avoid snatching by intruders.

The Predator and the Prey
The relationship between a grey heron and a frog is one of predator and prey. Grey herons are opportunistic hunters that feed on a variety of small animals found in or near water, including frogs. Frogs are commonly found in wetland habitats, ponds, and marshes, which are also favored hunting grounds for grey herons. When hunting for prey, grey herons use their long legs to wade through shallow water and their sharp bills to strike at small animals, including frogs. This interaction demonstrates the role of predators like the grey heron in regulating the populations of prey species such as frogs within ecosystems. It's a fundamental aspect of the food web and helps maintain ecological balance. Place: Mangalajodi, OIdhisa, India
