The main aim of this image is to confront the eating disorder bulimia. The girl depicted is a model and makes a living by posing. As a result, her appearance is glorified and so she is not incentivized to be more healthy. My intention was to confront ordinary people to put her in an uncomfortable situation, where she and the viewer would feel how critical the state of her body is. She stands in front of two old people who, because of their age, associate such an emaciated human body only with malnutrition resulting from poverty particularly during the war.
Along with this, I wanted to show the relationship between people suffering from bulimia or anorexia and their families. There is often immense suffering and despair because families are often unable to help or do not understand and cannot stand the fact that their child or grandchild is slowly dying. This can in turn lead to deterioration and breakdown of family relationships.
A buzzard perched on a deer carcass on a frosty winter morning. The photo shows the laws of nature - for some it is over, for others it is a chance for another day of survival. The carousel of life in the natural world has its strict rules - yesterday the king of the forest, today a meal for forest companions ...
The photo was taken during the autumn sessions on cranes in a small pool, where I have been photographing birds for several years. I always came to the watch room at night, so as not to scare the animals. In a specially prepared low hideout I waited lying down for the first rays of the sun. I carefully masked the roost with a masking net and vegetation that was available in the area (sedges, reeds, cattail). In addition, I spent a lot of time modifying and adjusting the lens holder to the changes in the water level in the pool. Every detail was of great importance to me - the lens had to be placed just above the water to get the lowest perspective and the most beautiful mirror image of birds in the pool. When the cranes fly away from the shelter to the feeding grounds, I often stay for some time in the hideout and watch other birds. This morning, a gentle mist reigned over the pool, and it filled the next frames. A dozen or so minutes after sunrise, the cranes began to fly away to the feeding ground. At the same time, herons appeared and began hunting fish. I always leave the roost in such a way as not to scare the birds away.
An otherworldly rock spire (also known as a hoodoo) rises out of the badlands forming a perfect foreground to the Milky Way galaxy above. Part of the Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness in the San Juan Basin in northwestern New Mexico this is one of most remote areas of the United States I've had a chance to visit. The nearest town is 50 miles away and the rough and occasionally sandy road to get there stress tested my 2WD car. However I was rewarded with an opportunity to camp under a dark and beautiful sky and the only sound breaking the silence at night were coyotes howling in the distance.
,, Lasu krzyk ,, - is a winter bird's-eye view of a frozen pond in Łódź ,, Arturówek ,,.
It is one of the largest forest areas within the city limits in Europe (it covers an area of 1,205.45 ha.)
When this shape appeared on the controller screen, I couldn't believe my eyes!
One of E. Munch's paintings immediately came to mind.
It's amazing what kind of images nature itself can shape!
It's as if the forest wanted to tell us something, or maybe shout out?
I took a trip to National Park in Rogalin. My first goal was to take moody pictures of sunrise, but I knew that this night I had full moon as well. First steps in Park and I new that I have to change my plans a little bit. Moon over this old majestic oak called Eagle was just amazing. It was perfect place and perfect time. Long focal length, tripod and patience and I got my shot. I almost forgot that I was there for sunrise. Instead, I had Eagle howling to the Moon.
This old bridge, leading to an old and vanished castle, is one of the most prominent points to visit while you're in Saxon Switzerland (a region between Czechia and Germany). It faces east and offers great sunrise views all year long.
"Play is older than culture. Animals did not wait for humans to teach them how to play. All the main features of the game can be observed in animals. Every game has rules, performs certain functions, brings pleasure and joy." And in life he plays his game. He knows that every single move matters and has consequences in the future.
This meeting is one of my most beautiful moments that I experienced for years photographing amateur deer during their mating season. When I heard the deer roar, I immediately knew that he was defending access to the female from other bulls. At some point, two males came out into the clearing where I found myself by accident. They went measuring and assessing their faces. For a few moments I could admire this hormone-charged walk, where one of the males dressed in the gifts of nature stood up to me and roared for a moment in my memories and on my camera's memory card.
The shooting “Caged Bodies”, despite the metaphorical name, is about freedom. About choosing yourself, your desires and self-expression.
We declare that any gender is the nature of a person, not the ideology of others.
How often have we heard “be a man” or “girls don’t behave that way”?
Female traits are described as emotionality, humility and modesty, male, on the other side — cold-blooded, uncompromising and leading. Such statements support the stereotype of “typical” gender behaviour.
People around us decide how to look, what to wear, and how loudly to answer questions. Throughout our life, our body is a subject of regular evaluation and approval. After all, then you will be normal and won’t be judged. But not every man wants to be bold and rude. And not all the girls plan to wait for “the only” who will solve their problems.
Main aim of "Dystopia" is to draw attention to people who have difficulty adjusting to the current soulless system, trying to escape into the carefree time of childhood and their own world created without worries.
The view of the most creative theatre I\'ve ever seen in my life, located in Harbin, China. When I saw this construction I had many ideas how to capture it. It was rainy day but clear night. Everything happens for a reason, if it wasn\'t raining I wouldn\'t have captured the reflection in water after heavy rain
