Spinning Time [TOP100]
This is an approximately 4 hours long exposure of two things in motion - stars and water. It took me 3 years and 3 attempts to create this image as the conditions were not congenial for the image in the first two times (2017 and 2018). This was captured close to the town of Sohra located in the North-East Indian State of Meghalaya.

Rising from the Dust [TOP100]
This photograph was taken in Teide Volcano National Park on the island of Tenerife and shows our beautiful Galaxy over an incredible volcanic landscape – a real night-photographer’s wonderland! From my adventure in Tenerife, this image is the one that best represents my experience, both the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’ side. As you can see in the photo, the landscape is shaped by incredible volcanic structures that rise toward the sky as huge towers that perfectly frame the mighty Milky Way. Then, our home Galaxy, the Milky Way, seems to rise from a thick blanket of dust that scatters all the light from the faraway towns, creating a warm glow over the horizon. This glow is caused by the “Calima,” a warm wind that comes from Africa, especially from the region of the Sahara Desert. This warm wind is always loaded with the sand of the desert and it has a big impact on night sky visibility, obscuring the sky and the beautiful Milky Way. In the end, all the good and bad things came together perfectly in this image, giving me the chance to show you this incredible panorama and to come back home with a beautiful memory.

Alien Throne
An otherworldly rock spire (also known as a hoodoo) rises out of the badlands forming a perfect foreground to the Milky Way galaxy above. Part of the Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness in the San Juan Basin in northwestern New Mexico this is one of most remote areas of the United States I've had a chance to visit. The nearest town is 50 miles away and the rough and occasionally sandy road to get there stress tested my 2WD car. However I was rewarded with an opportunity to camp under a dark and beautiful sky and the only sound breaking the silence at night were coyotes howling in the distance.

Make a wish
Its high time for you to make a wish! As i have finally finished processing of the Geminids 2020 meteor shower composit panorama. This years maximum night was really crazy for me, i've spent 10 hours on the slope of Elbrus mountain on the altitude 4000m with completely clear sky and fascinating transparency of the atmosphere. Luckily the weather was calm with modest wind and just -15C degrees. I was lucky to witness ~720 Geminid meteors, catching ~150 of them in frames as my cameras made continiously 1300+ shots. Was easily the most impessive meteor shower i've seen so far with, thanks to unique conditions.

Explore Tien cave
The twin Hang Tien caves were first visited by the British Cave Research Association in 1994 and explored further in 2015. This part of Vietnam is particularly wild, and it was difficult to find all the openings, so the locals provided invaluable assistance. The caves lie outside of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. The Hang Tien caves are the largest in the Tu Lan cave system, combining the massiveness experienced in caves like Hang En with the fascinating formations associated with this system. Hang Tien 1 has the largest chamber, while Hang Tien 2 is the longest at 3km. The caves are particularly striking for their flora in the entrance passages, made possible by the daylight entering deep into the cave. These cracks also allow drip water into the cave, resulting in numerous stalactites and stalagmites. Stalactites grow from the ceiling and expand by about 1cm every 10 thousand years. The ceiling dome likely formed many years ago when the cave was full of water.

The cave
I am very fond of this photo because it is the first one I took with the new sony a7iii. That evening in June I went to Manarola in the famous Cinque Terre, I thought I would not take the Milky Way home because there were some clouds. Suddenly then, almost towards the end of the evening they opened, so I managed to immortalize the village of Manarola with the milky way

The cove
A shot taken in July in the company of a friend. we were in Liguria with a pizza and a beer. We had in mind to do a night in this very beautiful and particular cove and right there behind the rock a cruise ship did not want to know to leave .So we found a composition that would allow the rock to completely cover the ship and that created a natural glow without needing to do it in the post tra moisture and mosquitoes we waited at 2 o'clock at night when the milk would fall exactly above the rock . 5 stacking shots from 4 minutes and one for milky

Passo Erbe
Italian Dolomities, Sept. 2020. After a night spent in the car I have planned to drive to another location but supprinsigly the weather conditions become completely diffrent than in the forecast. I have decided stayed in the Passo Erbe and found the barn and the road next to it which I used as a leading line towards mountains. This is a pano stiched with 12 shots (4 frames in 3 rows)

Rainbow pillow for Pyatigorsk
Many residents of this town often do not even suspect that they are separated from the good weather and the stars by only a hundred meters up. Fortunately, the area is full of mountains and you don't need to be able to fly to get into the realm of such beauty. This photo was taken from the highest point of this area - Mount Beshtau (1400 m), and the pictute itself shows Mount Mashuk (993 m), at the foot of which the town of Pyatigorsk is located.

Double Arch
One of my most difficult photos ever. It´s a panorama taken last summer on the old ruins of San Pedro de la Mata (Toledo, Spain). I planned the picture with photopills in order to be able to achieve the double arch. I had to go two different days until i managed the perfect light for the walls and stone archs. FInally I used three led pannels (cold temperature) for the main walls and little warm led boxes for the archs. I needed three rows for the full panorama and two extra images for the selfies of me and my friend. The panorama was merged in ptgui and post processed in Photoshop

Eartshine Moon and Lenticular Cloud Over Mount Etna Eruption Unesco World Heritage Site
Day 27 July, I was preparing to photograph the Moon that stood near the star Aldebaran. I had decided to go near the small town of Bronte, its western side of the volcano Etna (Unesco Site), and wait for dawn. On the same day, however, Etna awoke and two cracks in the south-east crater began intense volcanic activity with the formation of two lava flows and sporadic pyroclastic material jets. The phenomenon could be observed from the south-south west slopes but despite having the possibility of going to the site, I decided to respect the initial plans. To my enormous surprise, I could see that some lenticular clouds aligned perfectly on the mountain top from the point of shooting I had initially chosen. The show was incredible!!!!....especially when the Moon rose. The most beautiful moment occurred when it passed behind the cloud allowing me to capture various celestial and terrestrial details: the Moon in cinereal light whose brightness was partially shielded, the same lenticular cloud, iridescences spread over the edge of the cloud, contrasts of shadows and lights in the sky with the cloud that partially blocked the moonbeams leaving the stars in the dark sky visible and finally…. the eruption with the fountains and the lava flow.

Остров Томящегося сердца (Island of the beating heart)
Этот остров находится в Хасанском районе Приморского края (Россия). На острове есть углубление в скалах, своего рода ванна. Внутри неё лежит камень. Во время шторма камень ударяется об края ванны, издавая звуки, похожие на стук сердца. This island is located in the Khasansky district of the Primorsky kray (Russia). The island has a depression in the rocks, a kind of bath. There is a stone inside it. During a storm, a stone hits the edge of the bathtub, making sounds like a heartbeat.

Milkyway Waterfall
Ellenborough Falls Only I have nightscape with this waterfall from the base, first ever shot was also done by me 2 years back. Visited this mighty waterfall last week again, it was already on my this year's list. 5 hours drive from Sydney towards mid North Coast of New south Wales, Over 600 stairs to reach the bottom and then climbing up the slippery boulders to get to the point where I can set my tripod. Last time when I went we couldn't find place to sit after setting two tripods only option was to lean on boulder behind for 4 hours but this time we're lucky to find a place where we can sit and wait for milkyway to align with this fall. Reached base at around 5pm and waited until around 9pm for milkyway to align properly, thanks to @photopills that helped planning this shot. This is stack of 30 shots for sky and 1 for foreground during blue hour

The hand of the sun
When the day passes and the sun wants to be a little more on the ground. These moments are very short and are captured only if you are lucky. I was shooting something else when I turned to see the sun begin to pass through the roofs of the houses. I didn\'t have time to adjust the camera settings, but I was shooting. I had about 10 seconds in which I took 5 shots. I caught the light!

THUNDERSTORM ON VOLCANOES
Several volcanoes surround Guatemala City. In this photo, I managed to capture three of them during a thunderstorm as lightning struck. You can see the Agua Volcano to the left, the Fuego Volcano erupting in the middle, and the double peaks of the Acatenango Volcano to the right. Down in the valley is Guatemala City, covered in dense fog.

Ghost Ship
The wooden vessel Raketa was one of the many schooners that Finland built during the war years to compensate the Soviet Union for war damage. It sailed in the Estonian State Maritime Administration as a cargo ship. Due to its incompetent handling, it depreciated quickly. In 1957, it was written off and driven to the beach on the eastern shore of Hara Bay under the town of Loksa.

DC-3 in Flames
One night that I'll not forget. While we were having dinner in our CamperVan we looked at the sky and prayed that it became totally cleared of clouds hoping that we can catch a good show of Northern lights. Still not knowing very well what we would find and with temperature beating 0 degrees, we equipped ourselves at around 10 in the night with the certainty that we would stay a long time in the cold and that we would only return when we were fully satisfied with our catches. We took our equipment by double checking all the material and started our walk with almost 10kg on our back for a course of 4km on dirt/sand to the long-awaited plane wrecked. During the painful walk of more than 50min, I could not wait to get to the place, I almost felt like one of those kids asking the father if it takes much long to arrive. Along the way, the light show had begun and gave us strength for yet another step. In the dark and with the little visibility that the lanterns allowed us to glimpse, there we found the aeroplane. It was a show that lasted just over 10 minutes and we tried to make the most of it. Not satisfied yet we stayed in the place for another 3 hours, arriving again at our campervan around 4am. This image was one of the captures of this most intense moment and I hope you enjoy it.
