In the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, Paina reveals herself only to those who know how to wait.
She doesn’t come to you - one day you simply find yourself on her trail.
Between her attentive gaze and my held breath, a moment of trust appeared,
as fragile as the crunch of snow beneath a horse’s hoof.
To press the shutter at that single, fleeting moment
took me more than ten years of experience.
I learned to see, to listen,
and to feel the fractions of a second in which harmony appears.
This photograph is the trace of Paina’s trust,
and the trace of my path toward her.
The moment when the world breaks you — and you have to piece yourself back together.
When vulnerability becomes heavy, yet real — the kind that cuts into your heart and opens your eyes.
Medusa is a symbol of how we learn to accept and live through pain, injustice, and our own transformation.
How steel-cold turns into the flame of strength.
Perhaps her gaze that turns others to stone is only a metaphor for how the world is afraid to touch pain and vulnerability.

A Dialogue of Trust and Unity
Trust is a delicate matter. It balances on the edge between instinct and conscious choice. In every frame, the human and the horse become co-authors of an invisible dialogue — a balance where a single wrong move can disrupt the fragile harmony of their interaction.
An image of trust and freedom.
At the heart of the project is the image of a woman standing on the horse’s back — a symbol of the subtle connection between nature and humanity, between trust and fear. There is no force here, no domination — only unity.
Through the prism of various cultural symbols and contexts, the series “Fragile Balance” tells a universal story: a story of stepping toward a world where trust and love prove stronger than any fear.

The tension between vulnerability and strength erupts into a silent scream — powerful, theatrical and emotionally charged.

This series is about sadness, melancholy, inner struggle, self-acceptance and finding new meanings. The photos depict a real theatrical character with a real story.
Femininity exists beyond time, regardless of changing ideals and roles.
The image presents two representations of womanhood - past and present -different in form, yet united in essence. Although aesthetics and modes of expression evolve, inner strength and identity remain constant.
This image portrays femininity as a value that does not fade, but only changes the way it is expressed.
Мы не выбирали эту войну. Никто из нас не мечтал о крови и дыме. Мы просто встали — потому что иначе нельзя было. Потому что родная земля задрожала под чужими сапогами, и воздух впервые зазвучал тревогой, не похожей ни на один гром. Я не герой. Герои — те, кто не вернулся. Те, чьи имена теперь шепчет ветер на заброшенных высотах. А я... я просто остался жив. Иногда даже стыдно за это — как будто украл у кого-то право на ещё один вдох.
– Рейтинг фотографов по странам и городам строится на основе 3-х лучших фотографий автора и их относительной позиции в каждой отдельной номинации. Рейтинг в номинации "Мобильная фотография" учитывается в меньшей степени для формирования рейтинга. В списке по странам и городам показывается одна фотография автора с лучшим рейтингом.
– В списке опубликованы только работы которые прошли 2-й этап голосования.
– В рейтинге лучших фотографий учитывается только одна — самая сильная — работа от каждого автора. Даже если у фотографа опубликовано несколько работ, в расчёте позиции используется только одна, с наивысшим рейтингом. Поэтому порядок фотографий в списке может не совпадать с итоговым положением автора в рейтинге.
– The rating of photographers by countries and cities is based on the three best photos of the author and their relative position in each separate nomination. Rating in the nomination "Mobile Photography" is taken into account to a lesser extent for rating formation. The list by country and city shows one photo of the author with the best rating.
– Only those photos have been published in the list that passed the second stage of voting.
– Only one strongest photo from each author is counted in the Best Photos ranking. Even if a photographer has several published works, only the highest-rated one is used to calculate their ranking position. As a result, the order of photos in the list may not match the author's final ranking position.
