From the first light of morning until sunset, this pair of Coppersmith Barbets worked tirelessly, taking turns searching for food and returning to feed their hungry chick. As evening approached, dark clouds gathered, and by around 7:00 PM, the forest had become unusually dim. The chick\'s persistent calls echoed from the nest, urging its parents to return after a longer search for food. The fading sunset behind the bird created a natural backlight, transforming the scene into a dramatic silhouette that highlighted the elegance of its outstretched wings. Using a fast shutter speed at f/8, I was able to freeze this fleeting instant.
