This image captures a male Blyth’s Paradise-flycatcher feeding its chick while the female forages nearby. Both parents take turns in a remarkable display of partnership and devotion. What moved me most during my six hours of observation was their patience and coordination one parent would only leave to search for food after the other had returned, ensuring the chick was never left alone or vulnerable.
Before feeding, they would perch quietly at the nest, scanning the surroundings carefully for any sign of predators. Only when the area was safe would they approach and deliver food. In this particular moment, the male feeds the chick and waits faithfully for the female’s return, even after being away for nearly 30 minutes.
Love is often seen in gestures like hugs or closeness, but in the wild, love is survival. Here, love is shown through protection, patience, and the simple act of feeding
