People at Work – Photography Contest Guidelines
«People at Work» is a glimpse into the moment where labour becomes an extension of personality. Here, concentration and habit, fatigue and satisfaction, mastery and sincerity intertwine. Hands that know their craft, a gaze immersed in the process, a shadow of perseverance on the face — all of this speaks without words.
A powerful shot reveals not a profession, but a person's connection to their work!
We invite you to showcase labour in all its diversity: heavy and light, traditional and digital, solitary and collective. Both candidly captured moments and carefully composed shots are welcome — the main thing is that a living person breathes within the frame. Not a profession as a label, not a uniform as a prop, but a personality in the moment when work becomes part of themselves.
Accepted:
- Photographs where a person (or group of people) engaged in work is the central subject of the frame
- Representatives of any profession — from artisans and labourers to scientists, artists, and remote specialists — in their natural working environment: at a factory, in the field, in a workshop, in an office, on the street, etc.
Not accepted:
- Photographs where the person is absent or out of focus without artistic justification (blurred, in deep shadow, barely distinguishable)
- Shots where labour serves merely as a backdrop for a portrait "in uniform" without immersion in the process
