About
The "Insects with Offspring" photography contest invites participants to capture the astonishing world of parental care among insects—one of the most numerous and diverse classes of animals, comprising over a million species that occupy various ecological niches. Macro photography and images taken with microscopes will help reveal in detail the behaviors of insects caring for their offspring. The category accepts photos of bugs guarding egg clutches, beetles tending to larvae, ants carrying eggs or young, ladybugs with clutches or larvae, and other representatives showing touching moments of parental care. The goal of the contest is to showcase the beauty and complexity of the insect microcosm, highlight their importance to nature, and inspire a respectful attitude toward the environment.
