Wildlife Mammals Photo Contest Guidelines
Mammals in the wild embody freedom, instincts, and natural selection. This is a genre that requires not only technical mastery from the photographer but also deep respect for the boundaries of the animal world. We seek images showcasing animals in their authentic habitat, without human interference or signs of captivity.
Mammals include: predators (wolves, bears, foxes, big cats), ungulates (deer, moose, roe deer, wild boars, antelopes), primates, rodents (beavers, marmots, squirrels), lagomorphs, pinnipeds (seals, walruses), cetaceans (dolphins, whales), as well as other species that nurse their young with milk.
Priority is given to works conveying character, behavior, and the species' interaction with its environment.
Accepted:
- Photographs of wild mammals in their natural habitat
- The animal must be the central subject of the composition
Not accepted:
- Photographs of insects, snails, small reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, and other non-mammals — such works are accepted only in the "Macro" section or corresponding thematic categories
- Domestic or domesticated animals (dogs, cats, livestock)
- Shots taken in zoos, enclosures, circuses, private collections, rehabilitation centers, or other captive conditions
- Images where people or human-made objects are present (clothing, equipment, feeders, buildings, fences, roads, vehicles)
