Pets with Offspring: Photo Contest Guidelines and Submission Criteria
«Pets with Offspring» is a theme about life's most tender aspect: a bond where care and trust, instinct and tenderness, a baby's vulnerability and a parent's reliability intertwine.
A successful shot reveals not just a scene, but a story: a mother warming her newborns; a father patiently guiding a little one into the big world; a feeding moment full of focused tenderness; play where strength is restrained for the sake of fragility; or a quiet rest when babies fall asleep under the protection of an adult's side. This is an entire universe of silent love.
We invite you to show this connection in all its diversity: in the first hours of life and in moments of first independent steps, in a city apartment and in the countryside. Both spontaneous moments and thoughtful compositions are welcome — the main thing is that the frame breathes with living emotion. Not a genre sketch, but a sincere look at a bond where every gesture matters, and silence speaks louder than words.
Accepted:
- Photographs of domesticated animals or those bred through selection (cats, dogs, rodents, birds, fish, rabbits, chickens, cows, etc.), captured together with their offspring
- Frames where the visual and emotional center is the connection between parent and babies: care, feeding, play, teaching, resting together
- Photos with people are allowed, but only if the animal remains the visual and meaningful center of the composition
Not accepted:
- Photographs of adult animals without offspring, or where babies are out of focus without artistic justification
- Shots where it's impossible to visually distinguish parent from offspring (babies are indistinguishable from adults by size, appearance, or behavior)
- Photographs of wild animals not belonging to domesticated species or results of selection
- Images of toy animals, as well as photographs where a toy is presented in the role of a "baby" next to an adult animal
