Fire Photography Contest Guidelines
Fire is one of the primordial elements, symbolizing energy, transformation, and life. It is a balance between creation and destruction, warmth and danger. For a photographer, fire is a complex subject requiring an understanding of the physics of light, flame dynamics, and working with contrasts.
We seek shots where the flame becomes the main storyteller. The interplay of light and shadow, the texture of the flames, the movement of sparks, the interaction of fire with material (wood, metal, water) or people. Priority is given to works with proper exposure, where detail is preserved in highlights and shadows, and color rendition conveys the real temperature and atmosphere of the moment.
