NeuroPhoto: The World in 100 Years – 35AWARDS Photography Contest
NeuroPhoto: The World in 100 Years is a competition dedicated to the visual imagination of the future. It brings together two approaches: on one hand—realistic forecasting grounded in scientific, ecological, technological, and social trends; on the other—plausible science fiction, where artistic invention serves as a tool for reflecting on humanity’s possible trajectories.
Participants create images that may be perceived either as documentary evidence from the year 2126 or as artistic interpretations of the future—provided they demonstrate internal logic, visual credibility, and avoid arbitrary genre clichés. The key criterion is that the viewer should feel: “This could actually exist.”
Accepted:
- Images created using AI, digital graphics, or hybrid methods, as long as they align with the concept of a “visual document from the future”
Not accepted:
- Photographs (including manipulated or stylized images of real-world scenes)
- Abstract compositions lacking connection to environment, time, or social context
