An explosion occurred on May 6, 2022 at the Hotel Saratoga in Havana, Cuba, killing at least 46 people and injuring more than 99
No terrorist attack was suspected as the cause was attributed to an accident while resupplying the building with gas. There were nc
tourists stavina at the hotel at the time or the exolosion as it was underaoina renovations and was due to open in tour davs.
Search and rescue efforts at the remains of the hotel are ongoing. At least 15 children were injured and one child was killed,
and a nearby school was evacuated. although it is not clear if the children were from that school. The Minister of Tourism of Cuba.
