"SIWAR DANCE" Siwar dance is a traditional dance from the original area of Tanjung Sakti, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra, Indonesia. Historically, this dance is a sacred dance that symbolizes how to conquer a powerful ruler who is tyrannical and arbitrary. According to history, this dance was first created by PRINCESS SESUHUNAN known as REBIA LINGUK. In this dance, siwar is used as a tool used by dancers who are beautiful and adept at using siwar as a means of self-defense. Siwar is a sharp weapon in the form of a small neck with a length of a finger pointing. The blade is as sharp as the point at which it is said that at that time this weapon was very venomous and deadly. The technique of making this siwar is carried out by very skilled people whose workmanship is very neat, and meticulous as evidenced by the balance between the upstream (handle) and the blade.
