Although Timor-Leste is a small island, where no place is farther than 35km from the sea, most of the children never saw it. But, this series of photographs is about those children that were born close to it, and that for them the sea represents everything: fountain of food, place where they work (although they only have age to play), meaning where they fish they food, but also where they play. It is the place where children laugh, but also where children learn to be adults before time without ever have been children. They see the sun rising everyday, but from it they only know its darker side.
