Villages that have kept their living traditions!
There are very few people who live in the villages of Scarisoara and Inelet. They kept everything as it once was ...
All they need is their own. Basic occupations are animal husbandry and vegetable growing. Without electricity, they use a gas lamp in the evening. The "furlings" they wear are shrubs, which are of great use especially in rainy and snowy weather.
Even the priest and the postman are like tourists for the villagers ...
The priest comes only four times a year, at great holidays, and ticks his presence in a catalog or only when it comes to a funeral. The postman arrives more often, about every month, on the same scale, lying in the limestone of the Cerna Mountains.
As in any other village and there is, of course, a church, a cemetery and a school.
The church gathers all the villagers both on Sundays and on all the other holidays that fall during the week. At the school where only three children study, the villagers say that their teacher makes daily commute to the wooden stairs to her workplace. The school is powered only by solar panels.
