A raw, unposed documentary portrait that transports the viewer to the Aztec empire. A warrior in quilted cotton armor pauses to catch his breath in the exhausting tropical heat. Sweat streams down his face, contrasting with the cold green jade ornaments and the deadly gleam of the obsidian blades on his macuahuitl. The shot is captured candidly: the subject is not posing, his gaze is downcast, fully immersed in his thoughts against the blurred backdrop of an ancient city.
