A large, slender bird with long legs and neck.

It has a unique appearance and behavior, and therefore does not resemble any other bird except other species of flamingo. The neck and legs are very slender and long, and when standing, the neck curves into the shape of the letter \"S\".

The beak is short, thick (even thicker than the width of the head) and bent downwards in the center at an angle of about 120 degrees, its color is pink at the base and black at the tip.

In flight, the unique proportion of the flamingo\'s body is even more striking. The neck and legs are stretched to their full length, and together with short, triangular wings, it is compared to a \"broomstick with wings\".

In flight, the black flight feathers are visible, contrasting with the orange-red wing covers, so that when the flock spreads its wings, it passes over the lake like a \"blazing flame,\" or in Portuguese like - flamingos!
