I captured this image on 24th July 2025 at Patenga Sea Beach in Chittagong, Bangladesh. At first glance, it may seem like just a control tower, but to me, it symbolizes something much deeper. I framed this shot to reflect the silent yet powerful connection between our parents and the role of a control tower, both tirelessly guiding, observing, and preventing chaos.
As I stood at the edge of the sea, holding my mobile phone to capture the image, I thought about how our parents, like that tower, constantly monitored our paths. They raised us with discipline, love, and values, serving as silent guardians to ensure we didn’t drift off course. This photo is not just a visual memory; it’s a metaphor for responsibility, a bridge between generations. It urges elder sons and daughters to recognize the unseen effort and emotional labor that shaped their upbringing. Just like a control tower manages vessels to prevent collisions and maintain order at sea, our parents managed our lives to help us grow with purpose. And just as a ship without guidance may spiral into chaos, a generation without moral direction can lose its way.
This image, then, becomes more than just a structure; it’s a call to awareness. If the youth begin to realize and reflect on this concern, our nation won’t just change; it will rise, rooted in morality and mutual respect.
