Proboscis Monkey (Nasalis larvatus), IUCN : EN
These monkeys are endemic to Borneo and mostly found in the mangrove forests in the costal areas of island. They are arboreal and also aquatic, they are good swimmers.
Their population is on a decline due to deforestation caused by logging and Palm plantations. They are also being hunted for Chinese medicine and also as a delicacy.
They have long limbs which makes them move swiftly hanging on the branches of the tress. In this image Monkey is holding the tree with the hands and scratches the head with the hind limb which makes this image very unique.
