As I was taking a casual walk through the streets of Riga, Latvia, I bumped on to this unexpected moment in an underground crosswalk. In the middle of capturing the moment, I couldn’t help but admire the artist’s skill and the effort to spread Christmas joy through his craft. Yet, behind the beautiful performance, I felt the weight of the burden he might carry—a silent struggle to survive while pursuing his passion. Being an artist is undoubtedly a gift, but the challenges of life often makes it quite difficult to deal with. Regardless of the geo-boundaries, artists pour their hearts into their work, striving to make their way. All I could do is stand there and applaud for the effort they put.
